La meraviglia di Natalie

Da qualche giorno ho iniziato a leggere "Wonder" il libro di R.J.Palacio uscito nel 2012 e diventato da poco un film con Julia Roberts e Owen Wilson nei panni dei genitori di August, il protagonista, un bambino affetto dalla sindrome di Treacher-Collins che lo rende normale dal collo in giù mentre la faccia è completamente deformata. Del film ho visto solo il trailer e prevedo copiose lacrime alla visione. Per ora non l'ho affrontato. Il libro (ad un terzo della lettura) mi piace molto ma mancando l'impatto visivo è meno "devastante". Alla fine della storia c'è una pagina con una sorta di colonna sonora consigliata dall'autrice da abbinare alla lettura. Il primo brano si intitola proprio "Wonder" uscito nel 1995 e cantato da "Natalie Merchant". Visti i 17 anni che separano la canzone dal libro credo che abbiano in comune solo il titolo o forse il titolo del libro lo ha ispirato la canzone. Non so. Comunque è la canzone del giorno.
