Before Using hydrocodone-ibs Medicine:

ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are taking cimetidine, medicines for sleep (such as zolpidem), phenothiazines (such as promethazine), or rifampin. DO NOT START OR STOP any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions including a history of breathing problems (such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease); diabetes; kidney, liver, thyroid, adrenal gland, or gallbladder problems; glaucoma; severe inflammatory bowel problems; seizures; recent head injury; trouble urinating; enlarged prostate; allergies; pregnancy; or breast-feeding. DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE DURING AN ASTHMA ATTACK. USE OF hydrocodone-ibs MEDICINE IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you have severe breathing problems (such as respiratory depression); diarrhea due to food poisoning; severe bowel problems (such as pseudomembranous colitis); or increased pressure in the brain. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about taking this medicine.

How to Use hydrocodone-ibs Medicine:

Follow the directions for taking this medicine provided by your doctor. hydrocodone-ibs MEDICINE MAY BE TAKEN WITH FOOD if it upsets your stomach. TO HELP THIS MEDICINE LOOSEN CONGESTION, drink extra fluids while taking hydrocodone-ibs medicine, unless directed otherwise by your doctor. STORE hydrocodone-ibs MEDICINE at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE and you are taking it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

DO NOT TAKE hydrocodone-ibs MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it or are allergic to any ingredient in this product. DO NOT TAKE hydrocodone-ibs MEDICINE IF YOU HAVE HAD A SEVERE ALLERGIC REACTION to codeine, hydrocodone, dihydrocodeine, or oxycodone. A severe allergic reaction includes a severe rash, hives, breathing difficulties, or dizziness. If you have a question about whether you are allergic to this medicine or if a certain medicine contains codeine, hydrocodone, dihydrocodeine, or oxycodone, contact your doctor or pharmacist. IF YOU EXPERIENCE difficulty breathing; tightness of chest; swelling of eyelids, face, or lips; or if you develop a rash or hives, tell your doctor immediately. Do not take any more of this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE or take hydrocodone-ibs medicine for longer than prescribed. Exceeding the recommended dose or taking this medicine for longer than prescribed may be habit-forming. KEEP ALL DOCTOR AND LABORATORY APPOINTMENTS while you are taking this medicine. hydrocodone-ibs MEDICINE MAY AFFECT CERTAIN LAB TEST RESULTS. Make sure laboratory personnel and your doctors know you use hydrocodone-ibs medicine. BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENTS, EMERGENCY CARE, OR SURGERY, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using this medicine. AVOID ALCOHOL while you are using this medicine. hydrocodone-ibs MEDICINE WILL ADD TO THE EFFECTS of alcohol and other depressants. Ask your pharmacist if you have questions about which medicines are depressants. hydrocodone-ibs MEDICINE MAY CAUSE BLURRED VISION, DROWSINESS, DIZZINESS OR LIGHTHEADEDNESS. DO NOT DRIVE, OPERATE MACHINERY, OR DO ANYTHING ELSE THAT COULD BE DANGEROUS until you know how you react to this medicine. Using hydrocodone-ibs medicine alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. CAUTION IS ADVISED WHEN USING hydrocodone-ibs MEDICINE IN THE ELDERLY because they may be more sensitive to the effects of hydrocodone-ibs medicine. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF hydrocodone-ibs MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine.

SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking hydrocodone-ibs medicine include drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, constipation, lightheadedness, vomiting, or tiredness. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience mental or mood changes, urinary problems (such as difficulty urinating), blurred vision, headache, unusual weakness or fatigue, or fainting. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience slow or difficult breathing, irregular heartbeat, confusion, or hallucinations. AN ALLERGIC REACTION to hydrocodone-ibs medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.

If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slowed breathing, extreme drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, decrease in muscle tone, cold and clammy skin, or slow pulse.

If your symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if you develop a high fever or persistent headache, check with your doctor. DO NOT SHARE THIS MEDICINE with others for whom it was not prescribed.
