Visco: Ue, Italia ha 'profittato' poco di prezzi stabili e bassi tassi
(ASCA) - Roma, 31 mag - ''L'unione monetaria europea ha suggellato in questi anni l'integrazione economica, rilanciandola. I paesi tradizionalmente piu' virtuosi hanno dato al resto dell'area un contributo speciale: l'esempio di buone politiche, oculate nella spesa pubblica e attente alle necessita' di un sistema produttivo strutturalmente competitivo, di una concordia nazionale di fondo intorno agli obiettivi della stabilita' dei prezzi e della coesione sociale. Hanno beneficiato di una valuta forte ma non sopravvalutata, dell'assenza di svalutazioni competitive, di un mercato piu' ampio di quello nazionale, di facile accesso. I paesi, come il nostro, che venivano da ripetute crisi inflazionistiche e valutarie ne hanno ricavato prezzi stabili e tassi d'interesse bassi, due fondamenta precondizionidi sviluppo economico. Ne abbiamo profittato poco''. Cosi (Berlino: - ) ' il governatore della Banca (Santiago: - ) d'Italia Ignazio Visco nelle sue prime 'Considerazioni Finali', in occasione dell'Assemblea annuale. Per Visco, inosmma, ''l'economia dell'area dell'euro e' da tempo integrata; comprende oltre 300 milioni di cittadini, quasi 20 milioni di imprese. Considerata nel suo insieme, ha conti con l'estero bilanciati; un disavanzo e un debito del settore pubblico previsti quest'anno poco sopra, rispettivamente, il 3 e il 90 per cento del pil; famiglie con una ricchezza finanziaria lorda che e' 3 volte il loro reddito disponibile annuo e un indebitamento pari al reddito; un debito finanziario aggregato delle imprese pari al prodotto di un anno. Sono dati - dice - che configurano un'economia solida ed equilibrata, per molti aspetti piu' di altre aree avanzate del mondo''.
