Anders verhält es sich mit den Lagesensoren, die dafür zuständig sind, den Bildschirm je nach Ausrichtung des Tablets zu drehen. Diese sind etwas übersensibel und spielen dem Nutzer somit gerne mal einen Streich. So drehen diese den Bildschirminhalt auch bei nur minimaler Abweichung in der Haltung. Ein weiteres Kuriosum, das auffiel, wenn man das Tablet auf dem Tisch betrieb und eine Anwendung beendete: Dann kam es öfter vor, dass der Bildschirminhalt plötzlich auf dem Kopf stand. Akku Sony VGP-BPS14/S Das Coby Tablet besitzt ein spiegelndes 7-Zoll-Display im 16:9-Format mit einer Auflösung von 800 x 480. Akku Sony VGP-BPS15/B Dass bei dieser Displaygröße auch mehr möglich ist, zeigen beispielsweise das Lenovo Ideapad A1 oder das Acer Iconia Tab A100 (beide 1024 x 600 Pixel). Düster wird es im wahrsten Wortsinn, wenn man sich die Messwerte der Helligkeit ansieht: Selten hatten wir ein solch dunkles Tablet im Test. Während der Maximalwert in der unteren Mitte noch 177 cd/m² beträgt, fällt die Helligkeit zur oberen Mitte auf knapp über 140 cd/m². Dies reicht in geschlossenen, nicht allzu hellen Räumen noch aus, macht einen Einsatz im Freien an sonnigen Tagen jedoch nahezu unmöglich. Teurere Tablets zeigen sich da wesentlich heller wie das HTC Flyer mit maximal 352 cd/m² oder gar das BlackBerry Playbook mit enormen 500 cd/m². Aber auch das nur wenig teurere Lenovo Ideapad A1 erreicht immerhin noch 208 cd/m². Akku Sony VAIO P(VPCP) Leichte und kleine Tablet bieten sich geradezu an, sie auch einmal außer Haus einzusetzen, sei es im Schwimmbad oder im Park. Hier kommt mit dem Kyros 7022 allerdings keine Freude auf. Wie die Messwerte schon vermuten ließen, ist die maximale Helligkeit zu gering, um im Außeneinsatz noch etwas venünftig erkennen zu können auf dem Display. Ist es im Schatten schon schwer genug, machen einem die Sonne oder helle Gegenstände im Rücken in Kombination mit dem spiegelnden Display endgültig einen Strich durch die Rechnung. Akku Sony VPC-W21AVJ Mäßige Helligkeit......gepaart mit spiegelndem Display......ergeben eine mangelhafte Outdoor-Tauglichkeit.Wie die folgende, Akku Sony VAIO C in der Dunkelkammer entstandene Montage zeigt, besitzt das Coby eine durchaus ordentliche Blickwinkelstabilität. Bei horizontaler Abweichung erkennt man bis hin zu 45 Grad noch gut den Displayinhalt. Bei vertikaler Abweichung nach oben oder unten treten dann jedoch leichte Aufhellungen oder Invertierungen auf. Mit teureren IPS Panels kann das Coby natürlich nicht konkurrieren; das allerdings ist bei diesem Preis zu verschmerzen. Akku Sony VAIO CA In unserem Testgerät Kyros 7022 verrichtet ein ARM Cortex A8 Single-Core-Prozessor mit einer Taktrate von 1 GHz seinen Dienst. Ihm zur Seite stehen 512 MB RAM und 4 GB Flashspeicher. Als Betriebssystem kommt Android in der Version 2.3.3 zum Einsatz. Wer hier auf ein Update der tabletoptimierten Versionen 3.0 oder gar 4.0 hofft, wird von Coby enttäuscht: Der Hersteller schreibt auf seiner Homepage, dass er für seine Tablets keine Updates ausliefert und diese mit der vorinstallierten Version auskommen müssen. Akku Sony VAIO CB Um die Systemleistung mit Zahlen zu verdeutlichen und sie so mit anderen Tablets vergleichen zu können, wurden einige Benchmarks herangezogen: Im Linpack Pro Benchmark erreicht das Kyros 7022 13.373 MFLOS, den schlechtesten Wert der bisher von uns getesteten und aufgezeichneten Tablets. Ein Dell Streak 7" mit 1 GHz Tegra 2 kommt hier mit 36.817 MFLOPS beinahe auf den dreifachen Wert. Das Lenovo Ideapad A1 erzielt mit dem ARM Cortex A8 16.912 MFLOPS. Akku Sony VAIO VPC-X116KC Im Smartbench 2011 Vergleich sieht es für das Kyros nicht besser aus: Hier reicht es für 1.309 Punkte (Game Index) bzw. 931 Punkte (Productivity). Das Dell Streak erlangt 2.566 (Game Index) und 2.995 Punkte (Productivity). Das Ideapad A1 bewegt sich mit 1.686 (Game Index) und 735 Punkten (Productivity) im Bereich unseres Coby. Akku Sony VAIO VPC-X118LC Als letztes unterzogen wir das Tablet noch dem Quadrant Benchmark, in dem es 1.319 Punkte erreicht. Das Dell Streak bringt es hier auf 1.940 und das Ideapad A1 von Lenovo auf 1.372 Punkte. Berücksichtigt werden sollte bei den Ergebnissen jedoch, dass die erreichten Punkte neben der Hardware auch immer von der installierten Androidversion abhängig sind. Ebenso spielt es eine Rolle, wie gut der Hersteller seine Software an die verbaute Hardware angepasst hat. Die genannten Benchmarks dienen damit nur einer ungefähren Einschätzung der gebotenen Leistungsreserven. Akku Sony VAIO VPC-X119LC Trotz dem geringen Arbeitsspeicher von 512 MB RAM gibt sich das Kyros 7022 im Multitasking keine Blöße. Selbst wenn mehrere Spiele, Benchmarks und Musik gleichzeitig im Hintergrund laufen, kommt es zu keinem Ruckeln beim Scrollen im Menü oder in den Home-Screens. Akku Sony VAIO VPCX11S1E Um die Leistung des Tablets abseits der Benchmarks zu beurteilen, wurde es als Unterhaltungsmedium auf Herz und Nieren geprüft. Da Coby einen HDMI-Ausgang spendiert, haben wir Trailer in 720p und 1080p auf das Tablet geladen, um zu sehen, ob die Leistung dafür ausreicht. Das tut sie. Selbst der Full-HD-Trailer von "Der Hobbit - eine unerwartete Reise" wurde flüssig abgespielt. In dieser Disziplin ist es dem Lenovo Ideapad A1 trotz gleicher Hardware überlegen, dort ist bei 720p Schluss. Akku Sony VAIO VPCX11Z1E
acer Laptop Akku,Ersatz acer Akku Mit dem Pavilion g6-1352eg (UVP: 499 Euro) haben wir uns eine der günstigeren Varianten geschnappt und auf Herz und Nieren überprüft.anthrazitfarbener DeckelWie beim größeren Bruder Pavilion g7 macht das Gehäuse einen ordentlichen Eindruck. Die rundliche Formgebung und die anthrazitgrauen Oberflächen (Deckel & Tastaturumrandung) sorgen für einen individuellen Look. Das Hochglanz-Finish ist definitiv Geschmackssache; aufgrund der hohen (Schmutz-)Empfindlichkeit hätten wir ein mattes Finish präferiert. ASUS B50A-AQ111X Akku Qualitativ sollte man nicht allzu viel vom Notebook erwarten, da HP lediglich Kunststoff verwendet. ASUS B50A-B1 Akku Obwohl einige Elemente etwas unsauber abschließen (z. B. der Übergang zwischen Deckel und Displayrahmen) empfanden wir die Verarbeitung als akzeptabel. Die Stabilität geht - bis auf den etwas wackeligen Deckel - ebenfalls in Ordnung. Zwar lässt sich die Oberseite an mehreren Stellen durchdrücken, die Unterseite gibt hingegen kaum nach. Weiterer Pluspunkt: Dank dem moderaten Gewicht (~2.4 kg) und der moderaten Ausmaße (374 x 245 x 36 mm) kann man den 15-Zöller anständig transportieren. ASUS B50A-B2 Akku Die in Metall-Optik gehaltenen Scharniere sind unterdessen verbesserungswürdig. Trotz der relativ straffen Einstellung (beim Aufklappen schwingt die Baseunit deutlich mit) führen Untergrunderschütterungen zu einem Wippen des Displays. Mit Blick auf den Notebookpreis sollte man hier jedoch eine Auge zudrücken können. Die Gehäusequalität orientiert sich insgesamt am Mittelfeld. ASUS B50A-C1 Akku apple Laptop Akku,Ersatz apple Akku Die Anschlüsse entsprechen 1:1 dem Pavilion g7. Während Vorder- und Rückseite keine Verbindungsmöglichkeiten aufweisen, enthält die rechte Seite ein Kensington Lock, einen USB-2.0-Port und den Stromeingang. Auf der linken Seite dominiert die Zahl 2: Zwei Bildausgänge (VGA + HDMI), zwei USB-2.0-Ports und zwei Audiobuchsen (Kopfhörer + Mikrofon). Den Abschluss bilden ein Kartenleser (SD + MMC) und ein RJ-45 Fast-Ethernet-LAN-Port. ASUS B50A-C2 Akku Erwartungsgemäß sind lediglich das Funkmodul, der Arbeitsspeicher und die Festplatte zugänglich. Nach dem Entfernen zweier Schrauben kann die Bodenklappe relativ leicht entnommen werden. Zur Reinigung des Lüfters muss man das Notebook komplett auseinander schrauben (wobei dann wohl die Garantie erlischt). ASUS B50A-KB Akku Hätte HP doch lieber an der Software als an den Schnittstellen gespart. Wie zahlreiche Konkurrenten installiert der Hersteller jede Menge (unnötige) Programme. Damit man nicht von Pop-Up-Meldungen belästigt wird und das Notebook sein ganzes Potenzial entfalten kann, sollte man sich von manchen Anwendungen trennen. Die System-Recovery befindet sich in einer eigenen Festplattenpartition und kann optional auf DVDs gebrannt werden. Asus 70-NQ91B1000PZ Im Gegensatz zu teureren Notebook-Reihen wie dem Envy 17 gewährt HP nur eine Garantie von 12 Monaten (Abhol- und Bring-Service). Wem das zu wenig sein sollte: Gegen Aufpreis lässt sich die Garantie erweitern, zum Beispiel auf drei Jahre. Asus 70-NQ91B1000Z Die Tastatur ist leider kein Knaller. Auf der negativen Seite hätten wir nicht nur den im Vergleich zum g7 fehlenden Nummernblock, sondern auch das billig wirkende Tippgeräusch und den recht schwammigen Anschlag. Der kurze Hub und die kantige Tastenform wollten uns ebenfalls nicht imponieren. Trotz der „tiefergelegten“ Ränder tippten wir häufig daneben. Eventuell kommt man nach einer längeren Einarbeitungszeit besser mit dem Design klar. Asus 90-NGF1B1100 Am Layout gibt es indes weniger zu bemängeln – HP hält sich weitgehend an den Standard. Lobenswert sind zudem die vielen Sonderfunktionen: Per F-Reihe können unter anderem das WLAN-Modul, die Helligkeit und die Lautstärke geregelt werden. Die Tastengröße fällt mit 15 x 15 Millimetern durchschnittlich aus. Asus 90-NQ91B1000Y Touchpad Das 90 x 49 Millimeter große Touchpad kann eine höhere Wertung absahnen. Zwar hat die (auf Dauer etwas unangenehme) Noppen-Oberfläche negative Auswirkungen auf die Gleitfähigkeit, dafür ist jedoch das Feedback überragend. Die gute Präzision, die meist zuverlässigen Gesten (Multi-Touch) und die optionalen Scrollleisten sind weitere Stärken. Falls Sie sich bei den Bildern über die Vertiefung wundern: Die kleine Mulde im linken oberen Eck dient der Deaktivierung des Touchpads. Asus A32-B50 Die Touchpadposition dürfte derweil nicht jedem gefallen. Anders als bei den meisten Geräten liegt das Touchpad nämlich nicht mittig unter der Leertaste, sondern ist leicht nach rechts versetzt. Was manche stören könnte, ist für andere eher eine Bereicherung (keine unabsichtlichen Eingaben). Asus A42-B50 Beim Display wird schnell klar, dass HP auf gewohnte Standardkost setzt. 1366 x 768 Bildpunkte sind im 15-Zoll-Bereich üblich und aufgrund der schwachen Grafikleistung genau richtig. Wer viel arbeitet oder oft Multitasking betreibt, sollte jedoch lieber zu einem Notebook mit HD+- (1600 x 900), etwa das bereits getestete HP g7, oder Full-HD-Display (1920 x 1080) greifen. Asus A42-V1 Doch zurück zum Thema: An die Bildqualität dürfen Sie - vorsichtig ausgedrückt - keine hohen Ansprüche stellen. Das 15.6-zöllige und mit einer LED-Hintergrundbeleuchtung versehene Glare-Panel von LG Philips (LP156WH4-TLC1) offenbart in der Praxis diverse Schwächen. ASUS N50A Akku Beginnen wir am besten mit der Leuchktraft. Wie beim kürzlich getesteten Pavilion g7-1353eg strahlt der Monitor nicht sonderlich hell - 185 cd/m² liegen etwas unter dem Notebook-Durchschnitt (190-220 cd/m²). Solange man sich in Innenräumen aufhält, genügt die Luminanz aber. ASUS N50E Akku Der hohe Schwarzwert stellt unserer Ansicht nach ein größeres Manko dar. Während die meisten Notebooks einen Schwarzwert von rund 1.0 cd/m² erreichen, gab unser Messgerät beim Pavilion g6-1352eg knapp 1.5 cd/m² aus. Dunkle Video- und Spielpassagen werden dadurch sehr gräulich wiedergeben. ASUS N50F Akku Nach der manuellen Installation des aktuellen Flash Players 11.1 über einen Drittanbieter laufen auch Youtube-Videos problemlos.An Spielen haben wir einerseits den Klassiker "Angry Birds" sowie das grafisch anspruchsvollere "Tiki Kart 3D" ausprobiert. Beide Apps waren auf dem Kyros 7022 flüssig spielbar. Als einfacher Entertainer macht das kleine Coby somit eine gute Figur. Akku Sony VAIO VPCZ116GGB Da das Kyros 7022 weder beim Speicher (Flash) noch bei der Kühlung (komplett passiv ohne Lüfter) bewegliche Bauteile besitzt, arbeitet es in jeder Situation komplett lautlos.Die Temperaur des Kyros 7022 blieb während des gesamten Testverlaufes im angenehmen Bereich. Selbst unter voller Systemauslastung über einen längeren Zeitraum stieg die maximale Temperatur im rechten Bereich der Oberseite des Tablets lediglich auf gut 30 °C. Durchschnittlich liegt die Maximaltemperatur auf Ober- wie Unterseite bei ca. 27.5 °C. Akku Sony VAIO VPCZ117FC Die Soundausgabe erfolgt beim Kyros 7022 über einen Monolautsprecher, der auf der Geräterückseite positioniert ist. Bemerkenswert ist die hohe Maximallautstärke, die dieser selbst ohne Verzerren erreicht. Dabei spürt man das Gehäuse dann allerdings ordentlich in der Hand vibrieren. Ein Nachteil der Lautsprecherposition ist, dass die Lautstärke bei Betrieb auf dem Tisch stark gedämpft ist. Akku Sony VAIO VPCZ117GGX Der Stromverbrauch des Kyros Tablets im Standby liegt bei niedrigen 0.1 Watt. Unter Last haben wir einen maximalen Stromverbrauch von 3.6 Watt gemessen. Der zweite Stolperstein ist der langsame Atom-Prozessor. Dieser wirkt bereits mit alltäglichen Aufgaben, beispielsweise dem Surfen im Internet, vollkommen überfordert - es ruckelt und stockt an allen Ecken und Enden, produktiv arbeiten lässt sich so nur eingeschränkt. ASUS F3Jr Akku Beide Probleme sind dem Hersteller HP dabei nur teilweise anzulasten. Leistungsfähigere Hardware wäre mit anderen Einschränkungen verbunden und würde die ohnehin starke Erwärmung weiter forcieren. Sehr wohl kritisieren kann man hingegen das viel zu dunkle TN-Panel: Bei einem 750-Euro-Gerät wurde hier klar an der falschen Stelle gespart. ASUS F3Jv Akku Dennoch gibt es auch Lichtblicke: Die hochwertige Verarbeitung ist dem angepeilten Business-Segment absolut angemessen, ASUS F3Ka Akku ebenso verdient die großzügige Ausstattung mit schneller SSD und integriertem UMTS Pluspunkte. Firmen, die ein x86-Tablet mit umfassenden Sicherheitsfeatures benötigen, werden trotz aller Schwächen das Slate 2 Consumer-Geräten wie dem Apple iPad 2 oder Asus Transformer Prime vorziehen. Ein wirklich vergleichbares Paket bieten allenfalls noch Modelle wie das Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 oder das Dell Latitude ST (Test folgt in Kürze). ASUS F3Ke Akku Die Qualität passt, die Ausstattung ist gut - hier hebt sich das Slate 2 von günstigen Konkurrenten ab.Leistung, Leistung, Leistung - nichts stört im Alltag mehr als der schwachbrüstige Atom Z670. Schnellere ULV-CPUs wären in dem kleinen Gehäuse jedoch kaum möglich. ASUS F3L Akku Trotz der geringen Leistungsaufnahme wird das Tablet ungewöhnlich warm. Warum kein Aluminiumgehäuse mit hoher Wärmeleitfähigkeit?Mit vergleichbarer Ausstattung, aber etwas größerem 10-Zoll-Display werben das Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 und das Dell Latitude ST um die Gunst der Business-Käufer. Andere Windows-Tablets wie das Acer Iconia W500 zielen eher auf den Privatkunden-Sektor. ASUS F3P Akku Für Sparfüchse. HP gestaltet das Pavilion g7-1353eg frei nach dem Motto „viel Hardware zum kleinen Preis“. Das knapp 500 Euro günstige Multimedia-Notebook enthält nicht nur einen Quad-Core-Prozessor und zwei Grafikchips, sondern auch eine 750 GByte große HDD und sechs GByte DDR3-RAM. Im Kampf gegen andere Multimedianer würde das HP-Notebook oft als Verlierer vom Platz gehen. Die verhältnismäßig lahme Quad-Core-CPU und das relativ schwache Grafikkarten-Duo führen zu eher dürftigen Benchmark-Resultaten. 4656 Punkte im PCMark Vantage sind beileibe kein Knaller. So manches Office-Gerät heimst da eine höhere Wertung ein (4832 Punkte @ Dell Latitude E5420). Aber hey, der 17-Zöller kostet auch nur rund 500 Euro! Sony VGP-BPS2C/S Wie unsere Gaming-Tabelle unschwer erkennen lässt, hat das Pavilion g7-1353eg an modernen Titeln arg zu knabbern. Maximale Grafikoptionen sind nur in Ausnahmefällen möglich, selbst mit mittleren Details kommt der 17-Zöller gerne ins Straucheln. Einige Games werden sogar mit niedrigen Details nicht flüssig wiedergegeben. Sony VGP-BPS2C/S/E Hohe Auflösungen wie die nativen 1600 x 900 Pixel sind oftmals tabu. Da ist es doppelt ärgerlich, dass der Multimedianer keine 1366 x 768 Bildpunkte unterstützt (1280 x 720 Pixel sorgen für ein extrem verwaschenes Bild). Hinzu kommt, dass der CrossFire-Verbund bisweilen langsamer rechnet als eine einzelne Radeon HD 7450M. Wer manchmal ein Spielchen wagen will, sollte sich den Kauf deshalb genau überlegen. Für 100 Euro mehr erhält man bereits wesentlich schnellere Geräte (z. B. das Acer Aspire 7560G). Sony VGP-BPS2 Ein großes Manko von Dual-GPU-Konfigurationen sind die nervigen Mikroruckler. Da sich beide Grafikkarten abwechseln (Alternate Frame Rendering), kann es zu unterschiedlichen Abständen bei der Bildausgabe kommen. Diese sogenannten Mikroruckler sind vor allem im Bereich unter 30 fps wahrnehmbar und zerstören mitunter den Spielfluss. Trotz schlechterer Framerate kann eine einzelne Grafikkarte ein flüssigeres Bild liefern. Tipp: Aktivieren Sie CrossFire nur, wenn ein Spiel auf DirectX 10 oder 11 basiert. Sony VGP-BPS2A Im Leerlauf-Betrieb ist der 17-Zöller stets hörbar. Während der Lüfter mit entsprechendem Bios-Setting (fan always on/disabled) seine Arbeit temporär einstellt, rauscht die Festplatte ununterbrochen vor sich hin. Zahlreiche Multimedia-Geräte verhalten sich im Idle-Betrieb leiser. Wer statt der HDD ein SSD einbaut, dürfte die Emissionen minimieren können. Sony VGP-BPS2B Wer das WLAN-Modul, den Arbeitsspeicher oder die Festplatte austauschen will, benötigt einen Schraubenzieher und jede Menge Kraft. Bei unserem Testgerät war die Wartungsklappe nämlich sehr fest im Boden verankert. Auf den Lüfter hat man keinen direkten Zugriff, ebenso wenig auf den Prozessor und die Grafikkarte. Akku Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pi2530 Eine saubere Windows Installation ohne jegliche Bloatware dürfen Sie nicht erwarten. HP installiert vor allem firmeneigene Programme, die sich negativ auf die Bootdauer und die Systemgeschwindigkeit auswirken (Pop-Up-Meldungen inklusive). Akku Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi2550 Mit der Starter-Variante von Microsofts Office 2010, Skype 5.5 und CyberLinks YouCam ist man sofort für den Alltag bereit. Dazu kommt eine Security Suite von Norton (zeitlich begrenzt). Akku Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi3540 HP spart nicht nur bei den Schnittstellen, sondern auch am Lieferumfang. Zum erfreulich kompakten 90-Watt-Netzteil und dem 300 Gramm schweren gesellt sich lediglich eine Kurzanleitung. Datenträger zur Systemwiederherstellung muss man in Eigenregie brennen, die Recovery wartet auf der HDD.12 Monate Garantie sind relativ mager. HP spricht von einem Abhol- und Bringservice. Akku Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi2530 Die Tastatur hat uns keineswegs vom Hocker gehauen. Akku Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi2450 Zwar sind die Tasten nach außen hin vertieft, ein richtiges Chiclet-Design entsteht dadurch aber nicht. Eine Nutzfläche von 15 x 15 mm empfanden wir als ordentlich, einzig die flache F-Reihe (nur 9 mm Höhe) und die kleinen mittleren Pfeiltasten könnten manch einen stören. Verbesserungspotenzial besteht darüber hinaus beim Tippgefühl, das im Vergleich zu anderen Modellen etwas undefiniert wirkt. Der relativ kurze Tastenhub ist ebenfalls Geschmackssache. Akku Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi2550 Auf der positiven Seite hätten wir hingegen den dedizierten Nummernblock und das gute Layout. Für die Sonderfunktionen (Regelung der Display-Helligkeit etc.) braucht man übrigens nicht die Fn-Taste, ein einfacher Druck genügt (das Verhalten kann im Bios geändert werden). Akku Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Xi2428 Beim Touchpad liefert HP einen guten Job ab. Neben der ordentlichen Dimensionierung (98 x 54 mm) und der tadellosen Präzision hat es uns vor allem die Multitouch-Fähigkeit inklusive der zuverlässigen Gesten angetan (Drehen, Zoomen & Scrollen). Wenn Sie einen klassischen Bildlauf präferieren: In den Touchpad-Optionen kann ein horizontaler und vertikaler Scrollbereich aktiviert werden. Akku Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Xi2528 Die genoppte Oberfläche hinterließ eher gemischte Gefühle: Einerseits punktet das Touchpad – trotz der nicht vorhandenen Absenkung - mit einem tollen Feedback. Andererseits leidet jedoch die Gleitfähigkeit, da die Finger unnötig ausgebremst werden. Die beiden Maustasten fühlen sich zudem recht billig an. Hinweis: Um das Touchpad zu deaktivieren, müssen Sie doppelt auf die kleine Vertiefung im linken oberen Eck drücken (etwas fummelig). Bis auf eine Stelle an der Unterseite (max. 47 °C) wurden auch die restlichen Oberflächen nicht unangenehm warm. Im Leerlauf-Betrieb pendelte sich das Gehäuse auf kühle 21 °C ein – klasse. When we cranked the settings to maximum, the CF-53's frame rate plummeted to a dismal 12 fps, failing to reach the 28 fps mainstream average. Particularly interesting among them is the "brand new" Radeon HD 7670M from AMD. For a scarce 700 Euros, is this multimedia device going to be a cost/performance king?( Dell TD611 ) The name Packard Bell has long stood for attractive and fairly-priced multimedia devices. ( Dell TD429 )With the EasyNote LS11HR-167GE the manufacturer again rightly claims its reputation. The 17-inch all-rounder has powerful and perfectly compatible mid-class components at its command.Let's jump right in with the highlight of the notebook: the Radeon HD 7670M is actually only a renamed HD 6670M, but thanks to its good performance, the DirectX 11 graphics card isn't at all left behind popular Nvidia models like the GeForce GT 630M – quite the opposite. ( Dell KD186 ) After that comes a dual-core processor by Intel. The 2.5 to 3.1 GHz speedy Core i5-2450M masters almost every task with bravura. ( Dell HD438 )Eight GByte DDR3-RAM and two 500 GByte HDDs aren't exactly meager, either. A DVD-burner completes the hardware package. In the realm of software Packard Bell puts its confidence in the Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.And what's all the fun cost? At the time of review the EasyNote LS11HR-167GE was available for about 700 Euros.( Dell CGR-B-6E1XX ) sensitive high-gloss lidThe black case is inobtrusive in various respects. A weight of 3.1 kg and a measurement of 414 x 275 x 37 mm are typical for a 17-inch device. Also in its technical design the EasyNote LS11 makes a modest impression. The shaping orients itself towards the current notebook standard, dark plastic surfaces dominate.( Dell 312-0416 ) Little details like the patterned (and, because of its piano-finish look, extremely sensitive) notebook lid, however, makes the multimedia device stand out from the conventional crowd. In particular, the silver-gray palm rest brings fresh wind to the look. In terms of quality, the 17-incher is alright. The plastic surfaces are very well manufactured, even down to the transition between the lid and the frame of the screen.( Dell 312-0366 ) The notebook reveals its weaknesses in the area of stability. As with many other devices, with two hands the monitor can be substantially bent. The top yields itself noticeably, mainly in the area of the battery (rear) and in the area of the DVD drive (right). The bottom, on the other hand, is relatively stable.( Dell 0XD184 ) In terms of both the hinges, the attribute wobbly would apply. If you shake the base (simulating earthquake tremors), the monitor distinctly rocks back and forth. Still, the screen can be flipped open with one hand. What's more, the touchpad usually reacts with precision. With a measurement of 86 x 45 mm, the size is in the mid-range. Unfortunate: the two mouse buttons behave somewhat spongily.( Dell KX117 ) Now we come to the biggest weak point of the EasyNote LS11HR-167GE: the display. Packard Bell uses a 17-inch glare panel, which with 1600 x 900 pixels offers the ideal mixture of lots of work space and lower consumption of resources. Hollywood blockbusters will profit from the 16:9 format. Like most competitors, however, the manufacturer pays far too little attention to the picture quality.( Dell NR433 ) With the Chi Mei N173FGE-L21, our test device contains a terribly inferior panel. Especially at night, dark film and game sequences make a pretty gray impression. The responsibility for that lies on the high black value of about 1.1 cd/m². For a rich black, the value can't surpass 0.4 cd/m². ( Dell WW116 ) With a contrast of a scarce 240:1, a cheap display is just as suggested. For comparison: high-quality models reach a contrast of over 700:1 (see, for example, the Asus N75SF-V2G-TZ117V). Due to the shiny surface, the colors are still useful. The monitor performs well only in terms of brightness: 243 cd/m² moves it over the notebook average.( Dell 312-0427 ) Packard Bell EasyNote LS11HR-167GE vs. HP Pavilion dv7-6b02eg (grid)Despite its irreproachable brightness, the EasyNote LS11HR-167BE is not convincing for outdoor use. As expected, the glossy surface causes strong and unpleasant reflection. If you're unlucky, you might also be confronted with reflections in interior spaces in the daytime. A matte screen would make the user's choice of location considerably easier.( Dell 312-0428 ) The 17-incher has to pocket more criticism for the small viewing angle. Even if you're sitting in an optimal position in front of the monitor, in some picture areas changes in brightness appear. Thus while watching a film, for instance, the top sections appear darker than the bottom ones. ( Dell 312-0461 ) All in all the picture quality is disappointing on a broad level. For games or videos, it would be better to hook up an external monitor. Good displays under the price range of 1000 Euros are few and far between (the Schenker XMG A501 is one of the few exceptions).( Dell 451-10339 ) Universal Power Battery for iPhone 4 4s To fit with the mid-range graphics card, the EasyNote LS11HR-167GE has a dual core CPU at its command. The Core i5-2450M is based on Intel's successful Sandy Bridge architecture and is manufactured in accordance with the 32 nm procedures. Like the other Core i5 models the dual-core contains 624 million transistors (995 million in the quad-core) and a three MByte L3 cache.( Dell PD942 ) One of the most important features is the hyper threading technology, USB Universal Mobile Power Battery which makes it possible for the Core i5-2450M to process four threads in parallel. But the processor doesn't become a real quad-core that way. Although the Core i5-2450M with 2.6 GHz in its initial condition already reaches relatively high speeds, Intel integrates its proven Turbo Boost technology. At a max of 3.3 GHz, it can easily match the desktop competition. ( Dell PD945 ) Intel even gives the Sandy Bridge model a small graphics chip named the HD Graphics 3000 (650-1300 MHz), that can be used optionally instead of a dedicated graphics card. In light of the equipment and the afforded performance, a TDP of 35 watts is definitely alright.( Dell PD946 ) On the test device, the automatic overclocking functioned flawlessly. Under load the turbo was constantly active and accelerated the Core i5-2450M by several 100 MHz. In single-core rendering of the Cinebench R10 the dual-core ran with 3.0-3.1 GHz, in multi-core rendering with around 2.9 GHz. ( Samsung X10 battery ) Color DiagramAll Satellite X200 models come nowadays with a 17 inch WSXGA display with TruBrite surface and a resolution of 1680x1050 pixels. Regarding desktop size and fineness you are clearly better of with this screen than with a WXGA+ screen. If you'd like to play computer games with the display's native resolution, you'll also require a top hardware equipment. Otherwise, you'll likely need to reduce the resolution for better performance.( Samsung NV5000 battery ) The maximum brightness was 173 cd/m², measured in the center of the display. However, the brightness diminishes at the edges, especially in the upper right area, where we measured the minimum brightness of 106 cd/m². To summarize it, the average luminance of 138.7 cd/m ² is rather moderate. ( Samsung Q10 battery ) The brightness in the corners is significantly lower, so, that there is a difference of 38%. Depending on the brightness of the displayed pictures, this is not recognizable or you'll recognize slightly darker corners. The good thing is that the display is driven with full brightness even in battery mode. ( Samsung Q20 battery ) The Satellite X200's screen scores points regarding contrast. A quite low black value of only 0.23 cd/m ² gives together with the maximum brightness an excellent contrast ratio of 752:1.( Samsung Q25 battery )The reaction speed of the display is 18ms (gray to gray response time, averaged standardized 8 point measurement). Though not absolutely convincing, this should be sufficient for hobby gamers. As you can see on the video about the viewing angles, the reflecting surface is the major drawback of the provided display. Even indoors in moderately bright environments you can face reflections when displaying dark pictures. So, we recommend to carefully place the notebook with regard to surrounding sources of light. For the same reason you can forget about using this notebook outdoors.( Samsung P30 battery ) Regarding viewing angles, you'll face a slow loss of contrast and reflections horizontally. Vertically, when looking from bottom up, the display darkens while it whitens, when looking the other way round. The area of operation is acceptable and sufficient.( Samsung P35 battery ) The Toshiba Satellite X200 is offered with three different processors out of the house Intel (T7300, T7500 and T7700) as well as with two different graphics cards currently. A nVIDIA Geforce 8600mGT SLI solution and a Geforce 8700 M GT graphics card can be chosen regarding this. The7950 GTX SLI wins, followed by the rest of the examined video cards, which are close to each other. We were especially surprised by the good results of the 8600M GS video card with GDDR memory in the Samsung X65, which reached excellent 68 fps at maximum CPU and GPU settings. This also hints on a general driver problem with FEAR.( Samsung AA-PB4NC6B ) Looking into the future, DirectX 10 gets important. Although, there is no notebook available at the moment, which would provide smooth DirectX10 gaming fun at a good resolution, this is a main aspect for high-performance video chips, such as in the Toshiba X200, nowadays. ( Samsung AA-PB6NC6B ) The Crysis CPU and GPU benchmark results were rather disillusioning. The Satellite reached at a resolution of 1024x768 and presets at low 55.6 Fps in the GPU and 54.4 Fps in this CPU test on average. If you either increase the resolution or the number of details, the game gets unplayable. Furthermore, the benchmark test was again and again interrupted and the error message " CryEngine2 does no longer work" was displayed, when we tried medium details at a resolution of 1280x800.( Samsung AA-PB0NC4G ) So, regarding Crysis you'll still need to wait for the 8800M GTX video card, which will be provided in some notebooks at the beginning of 2008. World in Conflict BenchmarkThe strategy game World in Conflict also supports DirectX10 at high details. ( Samsung AA-PL0NC8G ) The results were similar to Crysis: Even at a low resolution of 800x600 pixels we measured only 18 fps in benchmark test.
