FRANCOFORTE (Reuters) - Il consiglio mensile Bce ha confermato il costo del denaro sui livelli attuali adottando però la decisione a maggioranza e non all'unanimit , dal momento che alcuni - anche se "non molti" - avrebbero preferito gi oggi un taglio dei tassi.
E' il messaggio veicolato alla stampa dal presidente Mario Draghi al termine della riunione che ha ribadito l'1% per le operazioni principali di rifinanziamento del sistema bancario.
Mentre sulla scena europea si profilano gli appuntamenti clou con la nuova tornata elettorale greca del 17 giugno e con il consiglio Ue di fine mese, super-Mario prende dunque tempo - come del resto comprensibile - lasciando soltanto intravvedere la possibilit di una prossima mossa espansiva.
"Si è arrivati alla decisione [sui tassi] con un voto a maggioranza e la discussione è stata molto approfondita. [...] C'è stato un ampio consenso. [...] Alcuni consiglieri, direi non molti, hanno chiesto e avrebbero preferito un taglio oggi" spiega ai giornalisti.
Piuttosto confusa la reazione dei mercati finanziari alle parole del banchiere centrale.
Se in un primo tempo ci si è concentrati sulla retorica meno morbida delle attese e un banchiere centrale, rivelatosi meno 'colomba' di quanto almeno una parte del mercato scommettesse, poi, complice il ritorno degli operatori londinesi, sono prevalse le prese di beneficio sugli asset a rischio minore dopo i massicci flussi di acquisti rifugio delle ultime sedute.
L'inquilino dell'Eurotower presenta quindi un aggiornamento trimestrale delle stime dello staff che coglie lievemente in contropiede il consensus degli analisti. Confermata rispetto a marzo la stima sul Pil 2012 e corretta lievemente al ribasso quella sull'anno prossimo, mentre le proiezioni di inflazione rivelano un semplice restringimento del range, passando da 2,1-2,7% a 2,3-2,5% per quest'anno e da 0,9-2,3% a 1,0-2,2% per il 2013.
BCE NON PUO COLMARE VUOTO LASCIATO DA POLITICA
Se resta improntato a elevata incertezza lo scenario macro per i prossimi mesi, con maggiori rischi al ribasso sulla crescita economica, non spetta però alla Bce - che non ha nessuna "bacchetta magica per risolvere la crisi" - colmare il vuoto derivante dalla paralisi politica.
E' in quest'ottica che Draghi respinge la pressioni - soltanto di ieri quella Fmi, secondo cui Francoforte ha margine per tagliare - per un maggior coinvolgimento dell'istituto centrale sul fronte della crisi.
A esplicita domanda sulla possibilit di una terza operazione di rifinanziamento extra-lunga ('ltro') il presidente ribatte osservando che numerosi indicatori di stress sono lievemente migliorati e occorre ancora attendere che si dispieghino pienamente gli effetti del secondo intervento.
"Alcuni problemi della zona euro non hanno niente a che vedere con la politica monetaria. Di questo bisogna essere consapevoli: non credo sia giusto che la Bce compensi l'inerzia delle altre istituzioni".
