CB continues to go above and beyond the call of duty for his portrayal of Dicky Eklund in The Fighter on Tuesday (July 28) in Boston, Mass.

Bale has said about film, �It�s a true story of two incredibly gifted boxers who were half brothers.
The one, Dicky Ecklund, who fought Sugar Ray Leonard at a very young age, when he was twenty one, was an incredible natural talent. He lived a very hard life. Then he came to train his brother, Irish Mickey Ward, to the

La Alcon acquista il thriller in produzione Prisoners escludendo dal progetto gli attori Mark Wahlberg e Christian Bale. Si attendono ora notizie sul nuovo cast.

Cambio al vertice per "Prisoners" .�La Alcon Entertainment ha acquisito l'interessante sceneggiatura di Aaron Guzikowski, gi� in fase di pre-produzione, con la volont� di accelerare la lavorazione e avere il film pronto per ottobre 2010. La compagnia ha bruciato sul tempo Summit e Relativity, anch'esse interessate al progetto, ma al momento gli attori Mark Wahlberg e Christian Bale �che erano stati contattati per interpretare il cupo thriller, non fanno pi� parte dell'accordo. I produttori puntano a comporre un cast tutto nuovo e, nello stesso tempo, sono in cerca di un regista adeguato a dirigere il progetto.

Il budget previsto si aggira attualmente sui 30-40 milioni di dollari. La storia � incentrata su un uomo che vive in una cittadina negli centro degli USA, la cui figlia viene rapita insieme a un'amichetta. L'uomo reagisce trasformandosi in un vigilante, imprigionando e torturando un vicino di casa che sospetta essere il colpevole del rapimento. Mark Wahlberg era stato inizialmente contattato per interpretare il padre della bambina scomparsa, mentre Christian Bale l'agente di polizia che indaga sul rapimento. La sceneggiatura, sviluppata da Guzikowski in un lungo arco di tempo sotto la Madhouse Entertainment, � stata a lungo contesa da vari soggetti, ma la Madhouse e Guzikoswki erano interessati ad avere un regista gi� coinvolto nel progetto prima di vendere lo script. A tal proposito sono stati contattati molti cineati. Lo stesso Bryan Singer era molto intereressato a dirigere il film personalmente, ma i problemi legati al budget hanno frenato lo sviluppo del progetto. Ora che l'accordo � concluso Andrew Kosove e Broderick Johnson della Alcon produrranno Prisoners insieme a Kira Davis e Adam Kolbrenner della Madhouse, mentre Robyn Meisinger si occuper� della produzione esecutiva.

Stando alle notizie e alle interviste degli ultimi tempi, sembrava ormai certo che l�ipotetico terzo capitolo della saga dedicata a Batman non fosse destinato a veder la luce.
Anche i pi� incalliti ottimisti, infatti, avevano ormai perso le speranze di rivedere Christian Bale diretto da Christopher Nolan per il sequel de Il Cavaliere Oscuro.

Ed invece, proprio quando tutto sembrava perduto, ecco che Gary Oldman, a ridosso della presentazione al Comic-Con di The book of Eli, thriller post-apocalittico da lui interpretato al fianco di Denzel Washington e Michael Gambon, si lascia scappare una frase assolutamente sorprendente: �Inizieremo a girare il prossimo film su Batman il prossimo anno, il che significa che la pellicola dovrebbe uscire tra un paio d�anni circa. Ma non sono stato io a dirvelo!�

Ovviamente, non si tratta di una notizia ufficiale e, di conseguenza, non � possibile sapere quanto ci sia di vero nelle parole di Oldman.
Per avere la certezza che la battuta dell�attore, che nella serie sull�Uomo Pipistrello interpreta il Commissario Gordon, abbia effettivamente un fondamento di verit�, occorrer� aspettare ancora qualche tempo e le dichiarazioni ufficiali di Nolan in proposito, quando avr� terminato le riprese del fantascientifico Inception.

Though Bale is playing boxer-turned trainer-turned-drug addict Dickie Eklund in the film, his hollowed features seem extreme for a man who bulked up to play the muscly caped crusader in last year�s Batman. Bale is a notorious method actor and lost a staggering 63 pounds for the film The Machinist only to regain it all back and then some for the first Batman installment.

Hope his metabolism and ultimately his health�isn�t�being adversely affected by the excessive weight fluctuation.
