È arrivato il momento di puntare sulla qualit . Può sembrare un’ovviet , ma per investire ancora sui mercati azionari dopo l’importante rally estivo è necessario effettuare un’accurata selezione dei titoli da inserire in portafoglio. Ne è convinto Stuart Rhodes, gestore del fondo M&G Global Dividend, che identica le aziende di qualit quelle ben disciplinate e gestite che generano gi buoni rendimenti e che eccedono il costo del capitale, ma che hanno il potenziale aggiuntivo per una crescita profittevole a cui il mercato non d sufficiente credito. Generalmente queste aziende di qualit sono multinazionali con forti posizioni di mercato, flussi di cassa stabili e grandi opportunit di crescita, caratteristiche che consentono loro di aumentare i dividendi anno dopo anno. Da M&G ricordano che il secondo trimestre 2012 è stato caratterizzato da nervosismo per le prospettive dei mercati azionari. I timori circa il rallentamento dell’economia cinese hanno innescato le preoccupazioni per la diminuzione nella domanda di materie prime ed energia, e molte compagnie operanti in questi settori hanno vissuto fasi di debolezza. Le caratteristiche difensive dei settori utility, telecomunicazioni, farmaceutico e beni di consumo hanno guadagnato il centro della scena, e hanno loro consentito di essere maggiormente resilienti rispetto ai mercati in generale. In termini geografici, l’America Latina è risultata essere un’area particolarmente debole, in particolare il Brasile, colpito sia dal calo nei prezzi delle materie prime sia dalle preoccupazioni per la crescita economica. Anche l’Europa è crollata perché le probabilit di un collasso dell’euro sembravano sempre maggiori. Il Nord America si è invece dimostrato più resiliente, in quanto ha beneficiato dell’essere percepito a minor rischio, e la sua economia ha continuato ad esibire una certa espansione. Di conseguenza, nel secondo trimestre dell’anno, tendenze opposte al primo: i titoli di ‘qualit ’* hanno vissuto un periodo fortunato, mentre le attivit sensibili al ciclo economico hanno subito un ribasso dopo i recenti rialzi. “In questo contesto, abbiamo deciso di incrementare le posizioni nei titoli di qualit o aggiungerne di nuove al fondo M&G Global Dividend: la scelta è verso quelle societ che negli anni hanno registrato una crescita costante dei propri dividendi che ci si aspetta sar mantenuta anche negli anni a venire – spiega Rhodes - A mio avviso, questi titoli presentano al momento valutazioni allettanti considerate le loro prospettive di crescita nel lungo periodo”. “Alcuni esempi di queste aziende di ‘qualit ’: Link Reit, un fondo immobiliare specializzato in spazi retail e parcheggi auto, è il principale fondo immobiliare di Hong Kong e il più grande in Asia. Secondo Rhodes anche l’operatore logistico Ups, ha una solida posizione per generare elevati rendimenti e vanta una lunga storia di creazione di valore per gli azionisti. McDonald’s, con uno storico di 36 anni di aumenti consecutivi del dividendo dal primo stacco di cedola nel 1976, è una delle aziende dividend achiever degli Stati Uniti”. Conclude Rhodes: “Con l’intensificarsi della crisi dell’Eurozona e l’aumento di nervosismo sul mercato, il prezzo azionario di molte societ della regione è ingiustificatamente crollato; ho sfruttato a vantaggio del fondo la debolezza dei prezzi di societ ben gestite e con buone prospettive di crescita dei dividendi, acquisendo maggiori posizioni. Tra queste societ , Sanofi (Parigi: - ) , il prod
