Rodolfo Noel "Jun" Lozada, the star witness in a Senate investigation on Thursday claimed his 12-year old daughter was almost kidnapped two months ago.
At the "No Holds Barred" forum of the National Press Club, Lozada said a man said he was a Senate security agent tried to fetch his daughter in school last March 4th.
But the man turned out to be an employee of the Philippine Forest Corporation, the office Lozada headed before he turned whistleblower.
"Sinubukang kunin ‘yong anak ko sa eskwelahan nya… ‘Yong anak kong babae tumawag muna sa mama niya at tinanong kung ito nga ba ‘yong susundo. Sabi, ‘wag kang aalis diyan. Tinawagan yung eskwelahan at ‘wag papayagan lumabas," he recounted.
Lozada has accused government agents of abducting him from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport late last year in a supposed attempt to prevent him from testifying at the Senate.
Lozada is the latest star witness of the Senate investigation on allegations of briberies and overpricing in the scrapped national broadband network deal between the Philippine government and Chinas ZTE Corp. Report from Willard Cheng, ABS-CBN News
