NSN says TeliaSonera’s LTE launch in Gothenburg imminent

http://www.3gmodem.com.hk/Huawei/E122.html TeliaSonera Sweden is preparing to launch Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile broadband services in Gothenburg, according to its 4G radio network supplier for the area, Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN). NSN’s Flexi Multiradio base stations form part of the 4G infrastructure set to go live in Sweden’s second largest city, in conjunction with a 4G common core network provided by Ericsson. Under a two-year contract awarded in January, NSN is also providing its NetAct network management system to monitor, manage and optimise TeliaSonera’s systems. The cellco launched the world’s first commercial LTE mobile services in December 2009 in Stockholm and Oslo, Norway, over networks supplied by Ericsson and Huawei Technologies, respectively, before choosing Ericsson and NSN to provide 4G radio networks across both countries, whilst it picked Ericsson as sole core network supplier. The E122 operator is planning to cover 25 Swedish cities with 4G services by the end E122 of this year, in addition to the four largest cities in Norway (via subsidiary NetCom).
