FOOD Conference - May 31st 2011 - Brussels

We are honoured and pleased to invite you to a High Level Conference on nutrition and health that will be held in the European Parliament premises in Brussels on 31st May 2011, under the High Patronage of the Hungarian Presidency of the European Union.

« Why is it essential to encourage healthy eating habits towards employees during their lunch break? How to help employees in their everyday choices? Which messages and which tools are they expecting? What are the restaurants doing to answer this growing demand for healthy eating? »

This event will be the opportunity to provide answers to these questions and to present the main findings, methods, recommendations and tools developed by the 25 Public and Private partners of the FOOD project over the last 2 years in 6 European Member States.

The Conference will welcome high level speakers, including:

• Vice President of the European Commission Antonio Tajani 
• A  representative of the European Commission's Directorate General for Health and Consumer (SANCO)
• The Member of the European Parliament  Elisabetta Gardini
• Jacques Stern, CEO Edenred
• Professor Ambroise Martin, Medical School, Claude Bernard University

• Agneta Yngve, Karolinska Institute

The conference will be open to scientific experts, policy makers, national and local authorities, public health professionals, as well as Human Resources Managers or Corporate Social Responsibility Managers, and any other people interested in promoting balanced nutrition.
