Sto scrivendo questo post mentre sto guardando un altro dei miei film semisconosciuti
. Questo si intitola "La Mia Vita a Garden State" ed è il primo film diretto da Zach Braff, noto soprattutto per il telefilm "Scrubs" (chi non l'ha mai visto su MTV?
). E' la storia di Andrew Largeman che "torna dopo nove anni nella sua cittadina natia del New Jersey, "Garden State" d'America, per i funerali della madre. Fino a quel momento aveva vissuto imbottito di psicofarmaci prescritti dal padre psichiatra. Il tuffo nel passato, reincontrare i vecchi amici, respirare l'aria di campagna, vivere l'amore, gli apre gli occhi. Una nuova vita è davanti a lui." Il cast è sicuramente di livello
, visto che abbiamo due attori del calibro di Ian Holm e Natalie Portman, ed è stato il costo maggiore di tutta la pellicola (il totale è stato di circa 2,5 milioni di dollari), ma va anche subito detto che il film è stato poi acquistato dalla Miramax e dalla Fox Searchlight per 5 milioni.Subito da segnalare la colonna sonora del film: 1. Bonnie Somerville - "Winding Road"Vediamo come prosegue la pellicola, sono stato un po' incuriosito dai giudizi molto discordanti che si trovano in rete sul film: c'è chi lo definisce un mediocre tentativo e chi invece apprezza il lavoro fatto da Braff.
