Guitarist Bill Frisell has announced the release of a new DVD and CD, available only through his Web site, plus a new download series. The DVD, appropriately titled Solos, features Frisell on guitar and loops and was filmed on location at the Berkeley Church, Toronto, Canada, on April 4, 2004. The double-CD, titled Hemispheres, features Frisell in duets with fellow guitar legend Jim Hall on the first disc, and the pair joined on the second CD by Joey Baron on drums and Scott Colley, bass. Finally, Songtone has announced a monthly release of live Frisell recordings for download from his Web site. The shows will be available in uncompressed FLAC files along with MP3 and AAC files.
