Taxi - Seoul Korea - INGLESE

In Seoul, there are different kinds of taxis you can take but the two most common are the regular Seoul taxis and the black Seoul taxis. The regular taxis usually come in either orange, white or grey and say 서울 (Seoul) written on them. The meter starts at 3000 won during the day with a slight increase at night. The black taxis are deluxe taxis and the The price is a little higher than a regular taxi, but the service is safer. There are also taxis from other satellite cities or the nearby countryside which have brought people in from there to Seoul. They will say the name of their city written on the taxis frame in Korean. These taxis are usually heading back to their home base city so you can only take them if you are going to that city. Basically, if the taxi has something other than Seoul (서울) written on the frame then they are heading out of the city. No taxi driver, by law, can refuse to take you within their base city and the meter must always be on. You can also ask for a receipt after you have paid.
