This month on May 15th, Seoul celebrated the birthday of King Sejong the Great. One of the best places to learn more about the most respected king in Korean history is by going to King Sejong The Great Memorial Hall. It is located in Dongdaemun-gu which offers tourists easy access as it is near major shopping and cultural sites. Since the early 1970's, this hall has exhibited a Hangeul Room, Science Room, Traditional Music Room, King Sejong Art Room and and Outdoor Exhibition Space. Coming here will teach you more about how this king changed the country and his lasting effect on it.How to get there: Korea University Station. Subway Line 6. Exit 3.
