This is the translation of a part of the last post. There is this cool exhibition of Crewdson's photographies in "Palazzo delle Esposizioni" in Rome, located in Via Nazionale. So he shows anxiety, fears, feelings, horror, ordinary things and exceptions, pure reality and camouflage (scamming) catching every surface element. Decadent nudes, suicides (murders?), fake crop circles, bears overtuning garbage cans, pills on the night table, toilets opened in the background. Urban situations, familiar situations, surreal situations. Reality is reconstructed on cinematography sets: the right light, the right detail, the right atmosphere. Everything is still and mysterious. Sentiments rise up from the hallucinated detail through the picture's surface to who's looking at it. Also by the digital touch.
