Tanghsan (Cina), 17 ott. (LaPresse/AP) - L'amore dei cinesi per i cartoni animati è cosa nota, ma quello che è ha fatto la citt di Tanghsan, nel nord del Paese, ha stupito anche i residenti. Nella piazza centrale è comparsa infatti una grande statua, alta sei metri e mezzo, dal peso di 5 tonnellate, raffigurante Bumblebee, uno dei personaggi di Transformers. L'opera è stata interamente realizzata utilizzando materiale di recupero: gli occhi, che si illuminano di notte, sono vecchi fari di automobile, le braccia tubi idraulici e di scarico delle motociclette. Piedi, vita, petto e ali sono stati costruiti con pezzi di veicoli.
L'assemblamento ha richiesto tre mesi di lavoro, comprensivi di verniciatura e lucidatura. Moltissime le persone che ogni giorno si fermano a fotografare la statua accolta, naturalmente, dall'entusiasmo dei residenti. Tutti si dicono stupiti, ma felici di trovare un pezzo della propria infanzia in strada. Dietro l'installazione c'è la volont dell'amministrazione di mostrare come gli oggetti di uso comune possano diventare arte.
