In its stockholders meeting, Enrique Razon, Jr., ICTSI chairman and president, said that while the company's domestic and overseas operations remain strong, it was difficult to predict how a recession in the United States, and consequently, an economic slowdown in the rest of the world would impact on its performance. "We've set up ourselves to be financially strong," Razon said. "We expect our new terminal operations to mitigate any possible global slowdown." ICTSI's net income was up 46.7% in 2007 at P2.695 billion. Earnings attributable to equity holders grew 52.1% to P2.794 billion. Gross revenues from its port operations reached P15 billion last year, up 26.6% from 2006, 54% of which came from its Philippine operations. The company Thursday declared a P0.35 per share cash dividend to shareholders on record as of May 8, 2008. Payment date is on May 18, 2008. ICTSI also reshuffled its board, following the retirement of Dante Santos. Jon Ramon Aboitiz, President of Aboitiz & Co and Aboitiz Equity Ventures is the latest addition to ICTSI's board.
