Ritorno ad aggiornare il blog, con il grande Marvin Gaye che tra il 1960 e il 1970 raggiunse una grande fama nell'ambito della musica R&B, incidendo per la casa discografica Motown. Tantissimi i successi che hanno costellato la carriera di un artista che, a mio modesto parere, può essere paragonato all'altro "grande" Otis Redding, tra cui What's goin' On, I heard it through the grapevine (che i più conoscono nella versione rock dei Creedence Clearwater Revival), Ain't that peculiar e molti altri. Una carriera interrotta bruscamente nel 1984 quando il padre di Marvin, con cui litigava molto spesso, lo uccise con un colpo di pistola dopo l'ennesima lite. Il padre, reverendo, infatti, non condivideva lo stile di vita sempre al limite e pieno di eccessi del figlio. L'anno in cui venne ucciso, Marvin vinse due Grammy Awards per la sua ultima grande hit Sexual Healing.
