Berlino (Germania), 6 ago. (LaPresse/AP) - La discussione sulla politica europea e sul futuro della moneta unica sta assumendo un tono "molto pericoloso". Lo ha detto il ministro degli Esteri tedesco, Guido Westerwelle, commentando l'intervista del premier italiano Mario Monti al settimanale Der Spiegel. Westerwelle ha sottolineato che i tentativi di attirare l'attenzione politica interna "non possono essere il parametro della nostra azione nei Paesi europei, neanche in Germania. La situazione in Europa - ha aggiunto - č troppo seria per permetterlo".
Sulle parole di Monti a proposito della necessit di "lavorare duro per contrastare" il "crescente risentimento qui in parlamento contro l'Ue, contro l'euro, contro i tedeschi e a volte contro lo stesso cancelliere" e sul timore che "le tensioni che da anni accompagnano l'Eurozona hanno gi i connotati di una dissoluzione psicologica dell'Europa" Westerwelle sottolinea che "abbiamo bisogno di un rafforzamento, non di un indebolimento della legittimazione democratica in Europa".
Sullo stesso tema interviene anche il segretario della Csu, Alexander Dobrindt: "I tedeschi non sono pronti ad abolire la propria democrazia per finanziare il debito italiano" e "Monti ha chiaramente bisogno" che gli venga comunicato, afferma sul quotidiano Die Welt.
BEIRUT (Reuters) - Il primo ministro siriano Riyad Hijab ha lasciato il governo del presidente Bashar al Assad e si č unito all'opposizione.
Lo ha riferito oggi un suo portavoce in una dichiarazione trasmessa sulla tv al Jazeera.
"Annuncio oggi la mia defezione dal regime terrorista e omicida e annuncio di essermi unito ai ranghi della rivoluzione di libert e dignit . Annuncio che da oggi sono un soldato di questa benedetta rivoluzione", ha detto Hijab nella dichiarazione, letta per suo conto dal portavoce.
Hijab č fuggito in Giordania con la famiglia.
