(ASCA) - Roma, 29 apr - Dal 2 al 12 maggio, al Teatro Ghione di Roma, e' in scena ''Gin Game'' con Valeria Valeri e Paolo Ferrari. I due protagonisti, Weller Martin e Fonsia Dorsey, hanno in comune la solitudine, ma soprattutto la passione per il gioco delle carte. Si incontrano in una casa di riposo per anziani e, precisamente, nella veranda di Villa Bentley: un ambiente squallido, dove non si sente la presenza costante e amorosa di qualcuno che ne curi l'arredo. Pochi libri, qualche pianta, un dondolo, un tavolo da gioco. Non si deve pensare a ''Gin Game'' come a un testo monotono: e' un testo elettrizzante e vivace a causa della passione del gioco che anima i due personaggi. Ed anche se ad una prima lettura, all'inizio, Fonsia puo' apparire, o meglio cerca di apparire, come una personcina indifesa, un'anima candida, a poco a poco comprendiamo che e' una giocatrice piu' esperta e migliore di Weller, anche perche' sorretta da un'invidiabile fortuna. Il tavolo da gioco, al centro della scena, e' lo specchietto per le allodole, e' un luogo d'attrazione. I due protagonisti vi girano attorno, ma poi, inevitabilmente, ne sono attratti come da una calamita: il gioco e' la loro droga. I due protagonisti cedono al fascino, al brivido, diciamo pure alla brutalita' del gioco, in cui si sentono, anche se Fonsia non lo da' a vedere, totalmente coinvolti. D. L. Coburn ha scritto una commedia garbata, giocata con maestria su vari stati d'animo, sorretta da un sicuro mestiere, pervasa da una comicita' esilarante, che solo due grandi attori, esperti del ''gioco'' del teatro possono portare alla ribalta scoprendone tutte le sfumature. In essa possiamo trovare qualcosa di noi stessi, delle nostre fissazioni e manie, delle nostre imperfezioni, dei nostri vizi, che ci rendono difficile il rapporto con gli altri, che mettono in rilievo tutto cio' che di negativo si cela in noi.
