Mayweather connected with one final straight right hand to the chin and the referee Cortez grabbed the champion around the waist in an attempt to save the British fighter from any further punishment. However, the off balance Hatton tumbled to the deck for the second time collapsing near the corner and once again he was left staring up at the ring lights.
