Nell'anno 1989 usciva infatti il film "Batman" diretto da Tim Burton con Michael Keaton nella parte dell'uomo pipistrello e un grande Jack Nicholson in quella del Joker interpretazione superata solo da Eath Ledger. Il film dette il via alla nuova vita cinematografica del cavaliere oscuro che negli anni ha visto cimentarsi George Clooney e Val Kilmer fino all'ottimo Christian Bale. La colonna sonora del primo film fu affidata al piccolo genio di Minneapolis, Prince, ed è sua la canzone del giorno "Batdance".
