Buon ascolto!!!Bitter fruit (Little Steven)I was born lucky they always sayI work in these fields of plentySweat for the company far awayFruit once sweet now has bitter tasteMy father he was a union manVery proud and outspokenThey came and took him when I was youngI will fight 'till his work is doneAnd my children are hungryTo taste the sweet lifeThough my eyes have grown tiredTheir desire keeps me aliveI will gather no more of your bitter fruitI have a sister she loves to dreamNow she works right beside meWe work the land we can never ownSomeday we'll reap what we have sownI don't look east I don't look westI don't understand their accentIf it's not soldiers it's foreign debtBut they haven't won this one yetSoon from the fields will come fireTo cleanse the lies from all sidesThe flames of freedom grow higherUntil desire - is satisfiedI will gather no more of your bitter fruitAnd they want to help in AmericaAnd the guns they come from AmericaBut they fight against us North AmericaWhy are the people so quiet in America?
