I'm writing to tell you about Mr. Carlo Parlanti, a prisoner of of Avenal (Ventura, Ca), now locked up in the Main Jail of Ventura for a "re-sentence" (I really don't know if is the right word). The treatment in that jail is... horrible and unfair. Moreover, He's ill: Hepatitis C, asthma, piorrea,and other minor illness. Italian government is numb about him and his incident. We're trying to ripple it. It's an hard work but we'll keep on trying.At the website http://www.carloparlanti.com/ there's his full story. There are: the trial transcriptions (un unfair trial), his story, the way we're trying to help him. We need your help. We're trying to study Californian laws and make something to give back Carlo his rights and the way to come back home. But It's not easy. Our embassady, without a real support of our government, cause of our uninterrupted solicitations, appeals, started to doing something. We also don't have enough money to go to Ventura and visit him. So, we need someone who can watch on him. From Italy, we can''t.Ms Katia Anedda, Carlo's girlfriend, can talk to him once a day, for few minutes on telephone. We're supporting them and sometimes we speak with Carlo through letters. Ms Katia Anedda is doing her best to help him, and we're trying to help us, but we are to small, and the problem so big... please help us. It'will be enough for us to know where we can find the right laws about prisoners' rights.
