Corrected: W. African c.bank governor to be replaced over ICoast

BAMAKO (Reuters) - The governor of the West African regional central bank has resigned, according to a declaration from the regional heads of state following a summit to discuss the crisis in Ivory Coast.

"The conference has taken note of the resignation of Mr Philippe Henri Dacoury-Tabley from his post as Governor of the Central Bank of West African States," according to the declaration issued on Saturday.

The bank had said in December it planned to cut off Ivory Coast incumbent leader Laurent Gbagbo from funds after a disputed election that world powers and African states say he lost -- but officials have said Gbagbo still has access to the money.
