Fatiche finite? Per il momento siLo scorso sabato Luca ha completato il suo quarto corso al centro Adeli, con grande impegno, molti strilli e lamenti specie durante la ginnastica, ma anche durante le sedute di logopedia, di manipolazione, di laser e di criocontrasto; solo durante i massaggi successivi alla ginnastica trovava momenti di pace e, quando particolarmente ispirato, riusciva anche ad addormentarsiOgni volta che andiamo in quel centro, sappiamo che porteremo Luca a svolgere un compito piuttosto pesante per le caratteristiche di durata e di applicazione che richiede ma sappiamo anche che i risultati finali sono sempre stati almeno soddisfacenti e ben visibili a chi, al ritorno da lì, si ritrova a riprendere con Luca il lavoro di ogni giorno qui a Genova, ed ha modo di verificarne i progressi ottenutiLa logopedista del CEPIM e la fisioterapista del Boggiano Pico in particolare, hanno confermato che anche questa volta Luca è tornato avendo acquisito nuove capacità funzionali della bocca e nuove abilità negli eserciziPer cui anche se sappiamo che Luca si affatica durante le due settimane che trascorre lavorando in Slovacchia, siamo fiduciosi del fatto che quel genere di lavoro lo sta aiutando a ridimensionare alcuni suoi limiti e lo sta migliorando nelle sue abilità e nella resistenza alla fatica, cosa che serve per potergli permettere di sopportare sempre meglio il lavoro svolto anche durante il resto dell'annoIn questi mesi abbiamo intanto fatto anche altre verifiche presso altri centri per avere un'opinione ulteriore, per avere un confronto, un parere da parte di specialisti del settore riabilitativo ai quali abbiamo sottoposto le esperienze di Luca: loro hanno avuto modo di valutarlo, noi abbiamo avuto modo di confrontarli rispetto al centro AdeliNon abbiamo trovato finora un centro italiano che possa essere confrontabile con quello slovacco e presso il quale si svolgano attività svariate e concentrate in maniera simile, almeno tra quelli che abbiamo visitato e verso i quali ci siamo rivolti per un consulto fino ad oggiTutto questo ci fa pensare di continuare come abbiamo fatto finora cioè cercando di far fare a Luca almeno tre corsi all'anno, anche se i costi del centro e della trasferta in Slovacchia sono piuttosto esosiDa alcuni genitori, presenti quest'estate in Adeli, abbiamo saputo dell'esistenza di un'alternativa europea in Polonia (chi ci è stato ci ha detto essere molto simile a quella slovacca ma dove vengono svolti solo corsi della durata di un mese) e di riparlare di quella esistente a Miami, U.S.A., ovviamente molto più costosa e ancor più impegnativa dal punto di vista logistico, rispetto ai due centri europeiPerciò siamo rientrati sapendo già che Luca tornerà in Adeli a novembre, e ci ritornerà ancora a marzo, per continuare a fare quell'attività che in questo solo primo anno di applicazioni gli ha già permesso di migliorare la sua capacità di mantenersi seduto, di mantenere il capo spontaneamente e autonomamente sostenuto, di migliorare le sue capacità di sostegno del busto e sulle gambe, oltre al rafforzamento fisico genrale, ed alla diminuzione di quei movimenti contratti ed involontari che devono essere combattuti per favorire invece quelli volontariLe fatiche di Luca non sono finite ma continueranno, comunque sempre considerando la necessità di non forzare troppo la mano e di dare tempo al suo corpo di svilupparsi in armonia con le attività che svolgeL'appuntamento più prossimo ora è quello di agosto col crosystem, in provincia di Treviso, dove ritorneremo per proseguire le applicazioni iniziate lo scorso meseDesidero ringraziare qui tutti coloro che continuano a seguirci ed a testimoniare il proprio affetto per Luca, prodigandosi con iniziative personali o collettive per raccogliere i fondi che servono per aiutarci nel proseguire su questo percorso di crescita e di miglioramento delle condizioni di Luca, che soltanto dopo il primo anno ha già dato dei risultati, ma che deve poter proseguire il più possibile su questa strada Grazie di cuoreMauro[link alle foto] [guarda i video dal box THERAPIES IN ADELI - 2011: Gym1,2,3,4....,9] THE SEVEN EFFORTS OF SUPELUCALabours finished?
