adam 12 dvd

The advent of  the three stooges dvd has changed the way we enjoy movies at home – both seeing it and hearing it. Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Sound are two choices available for home theatre owners. Dolby Laboratories developed Dolby Sound System for theatres. Digital Theater Systems (DTS) is more common in homes. The best audio visual experience you can think about, your DVD system should be appropriately supported by a sound system, which has either Dolby or DTS. Which one to pick? A bit of confusion is there. I am not into telling you which one to pick, but only a comparison of the two and their use with your DVD/home theatre system.

Dolby Digital audio track is common in almost all DVD productions. The reason is Dolby requires very little storage space to carry up to six audio channels. It also allows cutting away the unwanted audio channels, to give crystal clear output (of audio).

DTS is not as popular as Dolby in DVD, not because it offers lesser quality sound, but it is harder to compress soundtracks and to save data space. While Dolby allows 12:1 one compression, DTS allows only 3:1 compression, which takes up more disc space. DTS protagonists argue they get better audio experience through DTS than through Dolby. Also, most of DVD players are not built for reading DTS – means your DVD system will not be able to let you enjoy your DTS sound tracks.

Most of the adam 12 dvd systems today use Dolby, while DTS systems too are not rare. There isn't a requirement of buying the two – one is sufficient.

Both these technologies have differences, but their goal is the same – to ensure better audio experience. Both these systems eliminate most of the sound waves of frequencies beyond the audible range – thereby saving space and giving more clarity to the sound kept in the    wkrp in cincinatti dvd or CD. The sounds are also mostly undistinguishable, despite the people vouching strongly for one or the other.

The proponents for both formats are aggressive, when it comes to defending their baby. Proponents of DTS sound say they use less compression and thus offer better sound quality. The Dolby campy snaps it with it is not about the compression, but the efficiency of codec (compression and decompression) – fair enough.

Whatever sound system you go for, you need to have a decent setup with some good quality speakers. In effect, it is the only thing that affects the total enjoyment of your DVD movies, music tracks and videos. Thus, the question should not necessarily be about the sound format you would go for, but with the quality of surround sound stereo speakers you will be using.
