TESTIMONIALS

“Our visit to La Cipressina was thoroughly inspiring.  We enjoyed 360° views of the Tuscan breathtaking countryside and the warm, inviting and knowledgeable hospitality of the proprietors.  We will return to vacation at this first class, conveniently located villa.

Lisa and Ron, Steamboat, Colorado, USA

My college age daughter, a friend and I visited La Cipressina and Montepulciano in May.  The city was packed with excitement of the filming of ‘Twighlight New Moon’. The finishings of La Cipressina were traditional and beautiful, we can’t wait to visit again in 2010.

Ruth, Hyannis, Massachusetts USA

“I’ve been to Italy many times over the years and Montepulciano is one of my favourite cities in Tuscany. Beautiful art and architecture and Etruscan history and of course home of Vino Nobile, one of my favourite Italian Reds.  La Cipressina is in a great location on a scenic wine road just minutes from the main historic center of Montepulciano.  I always pack a lot in during my trips and La Cipressina is a great base for daytrips to Siena, Florence, Pisa and even Rome.”

RG, Baltimore Maryland USA

“My wife and I visited La Cipressina last spring and were impressed by the amazing views from the villa as the vineyards were coming into full bloom.  Montepulciano is just a 5 minute drive from La Cipressina and is a great city for wine and food.  I had a Chianina one night (Florentine style T-bone), the biggest steak I’ve ever eaten of course made even better with several glasses of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.”

Ken, London, United Kingdom

“We visited La Cipressina while on our honeymoon in Montepulciano.  One of our best memories is a party celebrating the Vendemmia (grape harvest) on a sunny October day.  We are landscape design artists and really appreciated the views and natural beauty of La Cipressina. And the owners were very enthusiastic about wine making!”

Anna and Mark, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

“I had a fantastic vacation with a group of friends in Montepulciano, Tuscany in the fall of 2009.  I would recommend La Cipressina to anyone looking for a  beautiful villa in Tuscany to spend time with family and friends.  There are large and comfortable dining and living areas to relax with a Tuscan meal and socialize with the group after a day of sight-seeing.  And the views of vineyards and Montepulciano are like a postcard.”

Chris, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

“My wife and I visited La Cipressina with her family and the villa was perfect for us, we had a great time.  The panoramic views meant we could see Montepulciano, Cortona in the distance and the thermal spa town of Chianciano Terme. We wanted to relax and enjoy nature and took a daytrip to Lake Trasimeno and walks and bike rides on the rural road of vineyards that passes La Cipressina.  Also, we loved the owners wine and olive oil.”

Davide, Reggio Emilia, Italy

SIMPLY TUSCANY

La Cipressina was designed as a place for friends and family to enjoy the experience we call Simply Tuscany.

Tuscany is not just a place of unique beauty and history, but a place to live better by taking time to enjoy the simple things.  Simple things, that one never has time to appreciate in normal life such as the light and color of the sky at sunset, and fragrance of lavender and rosemary in the summertime and taste of a simple glass of wine paired with cheese.   A place where everything stops for lunch.

Tuscany teaches us to respect traditions of the past.  Restoring with care and time, brick by brick, a farmhouse using original materials, terracotta tiles, chestnut beams.    This can also be understood in the way the landscape of Tuscany is seems caught in a moment of time, protected from change and sprawl brought modern development.

Appreciating and respecting nature is the way of life in Tuscany.  Each season brings a harvest and it is locally sourced foods that are both enjoyed and provide nourish.  Grapes that make the local wine, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano  must be harvested by hand and watered only with the rain brought by nature.

Most importantly Tuscany reminds us to keep family and friends close to heart.  At La Cipressina you will find a place to relax with loved ones.  Time will seem to stand still as days under the sun by the pool melt into evenings watching the sun go down while enjoying a four hour meal outside on the terrace.  You will create new memories.

You will also find places to learn something new, such as the art of wine production in the vineyard of La Cipressina along with us.  And with its ideal location, from La Cipressina you will experience the art and history of Tuscany by exploring Montepulciano, Siena, Florence and other important areas of Tuscany such as Cortona, Montalcino and Pienza.

Tuscany teaches us how to slow down, enjoy the present and learn that simple is quite often better.

This is Simply Tuscany.
