Da sempre appassionato di musica, Pierref ha iniziato a studiare chitarra classica privatamente all'età di 12 anni. Dopo una militanza in alcuni gruppi rock e prog-rock come chitarrista, ha iniziato ad interessarsi al jazz e ad approfondire le proprie conoscenze musicali. Dal 1991 al 1995 ha seguito corsi e seminari alla “Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio” a Roma riguardanti teoria e solfeggio, ear training, armonia, arrangiamento e improvvisazione jazz con insegnanti di rilievo come S. Pogelli, M. Tiso e M.Lazzaro. Nel frattempo Pierref si è laureato in Architettura e dopo un lungo periodo di pausa in cui si è dedicato prevalentemente all'attività professionale, ha cominciato a sperimentare con la musica digitale, creando un suo stile personale di musica elettronica con influenze che vengono dal prog-rock, dal jazz e dalla musica classica. Nel 2006 Pierref ha prodotto il suo primo album "Nuvole e Pioggia", totalmente realizzata tramite pc e strumenti midi. Nell'ottobre 2007 ha pubblicato il suo secondo album "Estatika": 11 tracce orientate più marcatamente verso l'elettronica e l'ambient. Per il brano omonimo Pierref ha realizzato anche un video in grafica 3D.
ENGLISHA lifetime passion for music, Pierref began studying classical guitar privately at the age of 12. After a number of experiences as a guitarist in various rock and prog-rock groups, he started to take an interest in jazz and in deepening his musical knowledge. From 1991 to 1995 he followed courses and seminars at the “Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio” in Rome where he studied theory and solfeggio, ear training, harmony, arrangement and improvisation with renowned teachers such as S. Pogello, M. Tiso and M. Lazzaro. In the meantime Pierref successfully completed his degree course in architecture and after a long period of silence in which he dedicated his time to his career, he began to experiment with digital music, creating his own personal style of electronic music with influences ranging from prog-rock to jazz to classical. In 2006 Pierref produced his debut album “Nuvole e Pioggia” (Clouds and Rain), created entirely with his computer and midi instruments. In October 2007 he went on to produce his second album “Estatika”: 11 tracks with a more electronic and ambient feel to them. For the title track Pierref also produced a 3D graphic video.
