Winter is the perfect time to go on holidays in the Azores. The temperature is mild and perfect for walks to explore the astonishing natural scenery, while it is also the ideal time of year to spot some of the many species of whale often seen just off the coast.

Meanwhile, winter is the perfect time for whale watching in the Azores, when many species can be spotted off the coast. Indeed, 24 of the 80 known species of whale have been seen from the islands' waters, making it an exciting way to spend a day.
