Patriots look like they heading to Super Bowl

Post n°4 pubblicato il 30 Agosto 2013 da kors108

FOXBOROUGH The Falcons don scare me a bit. The Niners could provide some resistance and we get a look at them this weekend. But if you really want to know the truth, the team that scares me in Super Bowl XLVII is the . . . New York Giants.

Sorry for the buzzkill. But the Giants are on my mind today.

None of them can beat the Patriots. The Ravens already beat the Patriots by a point, but that was three months ago and Baltimore may lose the rest of its games. The Patriots have not played the Steelers, who lost a terrible game last weekend. The Patriots routed the Broncos (never mind the 3121 final, it was a blowout) and the Colts.

And Monday night the Patriots exposed the Houston Texans as 111 frauds of the highest order. It www.footballbengalsshop.com/WOMENS-AJ-GREEN-JERSEY.html was 210 after 19 minutes. It was 280 after five minutes of the third quarter. It was 357 in the first minute of the fourth quarter. It was 427 when both starting quarterbacks exited. The final was 4214.

got good contributions from everybody, said coach Bill Belichick, who seemed to know this might happen. played a good, solid football game in all three phases. was a statement game. Monday Night Football. In December. Houston veteran wideout Andre Johnson said it was the biggest game in the history of the franchise. The clueless Texans wore matching letter jackets for the trip to New England and then played like a high school team.

Shock and awe. What a beating. If Howard Cosell were still alive, he have been speechless.

This was supposed to be a chance for the Texans to establish themselves as legitimate NFL contenders. This was supposed to be a comingout game for the team from the Lone Star State.

Instead it was a beatdown. From the jump.

Belichick was unusually relaxed. He took time from his pregame routine to chat up Marky Mark Wahlberg and Celtics coach Doc Rivers on the sideline. It was as if he knew something the rest of us did not know.

Everything went according to the playbook right from the start. The Patriots won the coin flip (shocker), then deferred (another shocker).

It was an amazing 59 degrees at kickoff and Gillette Stadium was full. No one could remember a game starting with almost every red seat occupied in the Gatsby level.

The Texans had a 12yard run by Arian Foster nullified on their first play from scrimmage because of an illegal formation. You got to www.footballBengalsshop.com wonder about a team game preparation when there an illegal formation on the first play from scrimmage.

Great coverage by Kyle Arrington stopped the Texans on third and 6 on Houston first series and the visitors were forced to punt.

After the Patriots marched to the Houston 4 on their first drive, Steven Ridley fumbled the football. This was Houston big chance, but Texans cornerback Kareem Jackson failed to scoop the free ball and Aaron Hernandez recovered for New England. On the next play, Tom Brady connected with Hernandez on a 7yard touchdown pass and it was 70 with less than six minutes gone.

This Kids A.J. Green Jersey is what happens to otherwise good teams when they see the Patriots. They wet themselves. They blow opportunities, then the Patriots make them pay.

On the ensuing drive, Houston moved to the New England 21yard line, but Matt Schaub was intercepted by Devin McCourty on the goal line. It was a great play by the Patriots cornerback, who came from the far side of the end zone to make the pick.

Six plays later, Brady connected with Brandon Lloyd on an amazingly easy 37yard touchdown pass and it was 140 with 2:49 left in the first quarter.

When, oh when, will they ever learn?

In the fourth minute of the second quarter, a 4yard BradytoHernandez TD strike made it 210.

The Patriots were so good in the first half, they took the life out of their own crowd. With eight minutes to go in the second quarter, Gillette sounded like the inside of a church. On Tuesday morning.

With 9:48 left in the third, Brady hit Donte Back Stallworth with a 63yard touchdown pass to make it 280. An 111 team has limited experience trailing, 280. And it showed.

The ultimate Patriots moment came at the beginning of the fourth quarter when Danny Woodhead fumbled the ball forward, and it plopped into the end zone, where it was covered by Lloyd for an easy touchdown. The Patriots are not only good. They are lucky.

was a good game, said Brady (21 for 35, 296 yards, four TD passes, zero interceptions, new baby girl at home). played in a lot of big games here. Monday night in December is important. I think we can use it as something to build on. This has been a great week. This was a great way to end it. Patriots have won seven in a row. They have won 13 straight in recent Decembers. They are 210 in the second halves of their last three NFL regular seasons. They are 8116 at home (including playoffs) since 2002. They are going to get a firstround bye. The worst scenario would have them going to Houston for the AFC Championship game.

IMPERFECT PATRIOTS NFL'S REDEEM TEAM

Post n°3 pubblicato il 30 Agosto 2013 da kors108

New England Patriots 115

The skinny: The Belicheaters remain The Team to Beat, even www.footballBengalsshop.com if Tom Brady won't be throwing 23 TD passes to Randy Moss this season, in part because there will likely be more emphasis on running game with Laurence Maroney Co. No. 1 pick ILB Jerod Mayo infuses new blood into aging LB corps. CB Asante Samuel (Eagles) will be tough to replace, however.

Over/Under wins: 12

Odds to win Super Bowl: 52

Serby says: Expect some kind of Super Bowl hangover to sabotage any Perfect Season ambition early, but it's folly to bet against Killer Bs Bill Belichick and Brady, even if Gisele Bundchen's significant other didn't take a preseason snap.

New York Jets 106

The skinny: You've heard Brett Favre is the new quarterback, right? New G Alan Faneca and new RT Damien Woody bolster woeful offensive line, and runstuffing Womens Andy Dalton Jersey NT Kris Jenkins and passrushing OLB Calvin Pace significantly upgrade Gang Green. No. 1b draft TE Dustin Keller is downfield threat to open field up for Laveranues Coles and emerging Jerricho Cotchery.

Over/Under wins: 81?2

Odds to win Super Bowl: 251

Serby says: Expect Favre to struggle early, but RBs Thomas Jones and Leon Washington should profit from offseason spending spree, and defense is suddenly rife with playmakers (ILB David Harris; S Kerry Rhodes; CB Darrelle Revis).

Buffalo Bills 88

The skinny: Offseason signing of DT Marcus Stroud, return of 2007 No. 1 draft LB Paul Posluszny and 2008 No. 1 draft www.footballbengalsshop.com/WOMENS-ANDY-DALTON-JERSEY.html CB/KOR Leodis McKelvin bolster defense and special teams.

Over/Under wins: 71?2

Odds to win Super Bowl: 501

Serby says: RB Marshawn Lynch is a beast, but QB Trent Edwards doesn't have enough experience to overcome Brady and Favre.

Miami Dolphins 412

The skinny: You've heard Chad Pennington is the new quarterback, right? Wizard of Oz Bill Parcells made sure DE Jason Taylor is now Dancing With the Redskins.

Over/Under wins: 5

Odds to win Super Bowl: 1501

Serby says: By midseason, you'll be wise to take the overinflated points, especially if 2007 No. 1 pick WR/PR Ted Ginn starts wrecking games.

AFC NORTH

Pittsburgh Steelers 106

The skinny: Fast Willie Parker returns from broken leg, but OL won't be as formidable without Alan Faneca. No. 1 pick RB Rashard Mendenhall is bluechip insurance and shortyardage menace. Big Ben Roethlisberger lobbied for big target and voila! rookie WR Limas Sweed.

Agent Fantasy Draft Team

Post n°2 pubblicato il 29 Agosto 2013 da kors108

When Peter King took Matt Moore in the fourth round, I decided I'd wait until the late rounds to take Saints backup quarterback Chase Daniel. The fifthyear veteran completed 71.9 percent of his passes for 538 yards in the preseason. He has played well enough in exhibition games to enter the rumor mill as a free agent who could compete for a starting job. Daniel has only nine attempts in his fouryear career, but the unknown could be a plus. We know the upside for Moore, Jason Campbell and David Garrard. The biggest knock on Daniel is high height (60), but Russell Wilson knocked down doors for shorter QBs.

There was a frontoffice coup halfway through the draft about whether we were going to run a 43 or a 34. Then we calmed down and decided to be like Bill, who has switched back and forth. So the goal of the draft was to collect talent that was flexible enough to fill the requirements of the free agent draft . and then let the defensive coordinator figure everything else out. I tried to take players with experience in both systems Richard Seymour and Chris Canty have played 34 DE and 43 DT. If the new defensive coordinator has a 34 background, we can always pick up 49ers nose tackle Ricky JeanFrancois in the expansion draft (does that exist?).

I stocked my offensive line with as many Patriots as I could Vollmer, Thomas and longtime New England center Koppen. I took a risk by adding McKinnie as my second tackle if he plays like he did the second half of last season, my offense will be humming. Then I completed the line with Schwartz, a parttime www.footballbengalsshop.com/WOMENS-AJ-GREEN-JERSEY.html player in Minnesota who allowed just four pressures in 84 pass protections according to Pro Football Focus. I took an even bigger risk at tight end with Fred Davis, who is the best player at his position in this class, Kids A.J. Green Jersey but recovering from an Achilles' injury. Admittedly, Davis was a pick based on emotion and not logic. Jets fans are going to think I'm crazy for picking Greene, but I thought he could take more punishment as a primary back then the more exciting Danny Woodhead. I took the receiver Simpson with my last pick instead of a fullback. I was eyeing Texans FB James Casey, because he could fill in at TE for Davis if the Achilles acted up (King took Casey in the next round). Simpson is dangerous enough downfield to keep the defense from focusing too much of its coverage on Wallace and Welker. He may be a bit of a character risk, but the veterans on this squad control the locker room.

Watt Unanimous 2012 All

Post n°1 pubblicato il 29 Agosto 2013 da kors108

Watt were unanimous choices for The Associated Press AllPro team announced Saturday.

Peterson, who came within 9 yards of breaking Eric Dickerson's singleseason rushing record, and Watt, who led the NFL with 20 12 sacks, were selected by all 50 members of a nationwide panel of media members who cover the league.

"Obviously it's a huge honor, especially for being such a young guy," said Watt, a secondyear pro. "It's crazy to even think about. It's very humbling and very motivating. It makes me want to do it again and again."

Peyton Manning made his sixth team, the previous five while quarterbacking Indianapolis. He led Denver to the AFC's best record, 133.

Also chosen for the sixth time was Atlanta tight end Tony Gonzalez, who this season moved into second place on the career receptions list. San Francisco linebacker Patrick Willis made it for the fifth time in his six pro seasons.

The 49ers www.footballbengalsshop.com/WOMENS-ANDY-DALTON-JERSEY.html had the most AllPros, six: Willis, fellow LBs NaVorro Bowman and Aldon Smith, guard Mike Iupati, safety Dashon Goldson and punter Andy Lee.

"As an organization, we take great pride in the success and recognition of our players," 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said. "This type of acknowledgement only comes Womens Andy Dalton Jersey from hard work and a teamfirst mentality, which all six of these men exhibit on a daily basis. They play the game the way it was meant to be played, and are very deserving of this honor."

Seattle was next with RB Marshawn Lynch, center Max Unger, cornerback Richard Sherman and safety Earl Thomas. All were selected for the first time.

Sherman was incensed when he didn't make the Pro Bowl. He was thrilled with the news he made the AllPro team "because that's comparing the whole league."

" That is taking individuals and saying they are the best in the NFL at that position and that's what I wanted to be," Sherman said. " The Pro Bowl is taking three from each side, it's more of a popularity contest. The AllPro, you're the best at your position. It doesn't matter if you're a fifthrounder or fourthrounder or undrafted. If you play the best, you're AllPro."

Denver had three AllPros: LB Von Miller, tackle Ryan Clady and Manning. No other team had more than two.

The NFC had 17 players and only 10 made it from the AFC.

One rookie, Minnesota kicker Blair Walsh, was chosen.

Also on offense were Baltimore fullback Vonta Leach, making it for the third straight year; Detroit WR Calvin Johnson and Chicago WR Brandon Marshall; Houston tackle Duane Brown; New Orleans guard Jahri Evans, making his fourth consecutive appearance; Baltimore kick returner Jacoby Jones; Miami DE Cameron Wake; Cincinnati DT Geno Atkins and New England DT Vince Wilfork; and Chicago CB Charles Tillman.
