Obasanjo met Congolese President Joseph Kabila in Kinshasa on Friday and will fly to meet Nkunda in the country’s restive east. UN Secretary General Ban ki-moon appointed Obasanjo last week to spearhead the UN’s search of a solution to the fighting between Nkunda's Tutsi guerrillas and the Congolese army, which has displaced 250,000 people from their homes.
