Roma, 4 ott. - (Adnkronos) - Al via la prima edizione della Biennale del Design di Istanbul, organizzata dalla IKSV - Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts. Sostenuta da quattro grandi aziende turche (Eren Holding, Koray Group of Companies, Vestel e VitrA)e' organizzata dal 13 ottobre al 12 dicembre.
L'obiettivo e' quello di sottolineare il ruolo del design per la produzione, l'economia, l'interazione culturale e per la qualita' della vita, questo nuovo progetto provera' ad aprire nuovi orizzonti su tutte le discipline creative in materia di design, quali il disegno urbano, l'architettura, il design per interni e tutti i loro sottocampi.
L'evento sara' ricco di mostre, installazioni, workshop, seminari e presentazioni articolati su quattro temi principali: il design e il suoi micro-componenti, il design e la sua genetica, il design e i suoi macro-componenti, la progettazione e la citta'. L'architetto Emre Arolat e l'editore Joseph Grima saranno i curatori di questa prima edizione, che avra' come tema ''Imperfezione'', tema accolto su suggerimento del Sig. Deyan Sudjic, membro del Consiglio Consultivo della Biennale e Direttore del Design Museum di Londra.
