Scrivendo Per Sempre ho cercato di immaginarne la colonna sonora, esattamente come se si trattasse di un film. La canzone principale di questa colonna sonora, sempre secondo la mia idea, sarebbe Back for good che, tra le altre cose, è citata spesso nel romanzo stesso. In questi ultimi tempi si fa un gran parlare della boyband che ha scritto ed interpretato quel brano, undici anni orsono: i Take That. Nel 1995, anno di uscita del singolo, avevo 14 anni e la boyband inglese rappresentava il mio gruppo preferito. L'ex band di Robbie Williams era molto popolare tra le ragazzine di quell'epoca ed io rappresentavo un "caso raro", in quanto ero di sesso opposto alla maggior parte delle fans del quintetto di Manchester e venivo giudicato "strano". I maschi non apprezzavano quel genere di pop da classifica che ha generato, negli anni, parecchi cloni (basti pensare a band come Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys e Blue, tanto per citarne alcune). Tra il 1993 e il 1996, però, i Take That rappresentarono un fenomeno di costume planetario, se si pensa che, a livello di successo, bissarono addirittura quello dei quattro baronetti di Liverpool, i Beatles.Di quegli anni mi è rimasto addosso quel brano, ed ogni volta che lo ascolto è un'emozione nuova. Ho pensato di inserirlo in Per Sempre, proprio perchè il romanzo stesso è ambientato tra il 1996 e il 1997. I Take That, oggi, sono tornati alla ribalta per essersi ricongiunti dopo dieci anni per una serie di concerti completamente sold out che toccheranno tutto il Regno Unito. Sembra, inoltre, che i 4 ragazzi (l'unico a non aver accettato l'offerta, se non per una apparizione durante la prima data del tour, è il re del pop Robbie Williams) stiano preparando un album tutto nuovo, per tentare di rilanciarsi nel music business.
