The links between Dr Battilocchio’s group and Seychelles began after they sponsored a trip to Italy for three local singers – Michael Savy,Chico and Darell Nicette, winner of the Jj Spirit song contest in 2008.During their stay here the Italian delegation have visited JjSpirit’s office, where they were given details of the foundation andits activities.They also enjoyed a tour of State House, the Botanical Gardens,National Assembly, Seychelles National Youth Assembly and Ministry ofCommunity Development, Youth, Sports and Culture.The foundation organised a lunch at the Chez Baptista restaurant,Takamaka, for Mr Battilocchio and his team, and a meeting was held withthe Jj Spirit team at the International Conference Centre.Jj Spirit office manager Joel Bacco said several projects werediscussed during the meeting with the aim of strengthening relationsbetween the two sides.Among these are return visits for the singers, help in funding atrip for the Dove’s Choir and exchange activities which are also partof the foundation’s programme.
