The first ever World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) comedy benefit ‘Stand Up for Animals’, headlined by international star Ricky Gervais, was held in London in January. Animal Friends Croatia have collected over 8000 signatures for the Animals Matter to Me Campaign over a matter of months through a series of local events and grassroots activities including petition collections organized by supporters.Animal Friends Croatia was established in 2000 and currently has over 2,300 members, both in the country and abroad, and over 7,500 supporters.
