DUBAI (Reuters) - L'incursione di un velivolo senza pilota nel fine settimana in territorio israeliano ha dimostrato la debolezza delle difese aeree israeliane, ha detto oggi il vice coordinatore delle Guardie della Rivoluzione iraniane.
Sabato scorso le forze armate israeliane hanno abbattuto un drone che aveva appena attraversato il confine sud e di cui al momento non è chiara la provenienza.
Jamaluddin Aberoumand, vice coordinatore delle Guardie della Rivoluzione, citato dall'agenzia di stampa iraniana Fars, ha detto che la difesa anti-missile israeliana, la cosiddetta "Cupola di ferro", "non funziona e manca della necessaria capacit ".
Il sistema "Iron Dome" - finanziato anche dagli Usa - è stato realizzato allo scopo di abbattere razzi a corta gittata sparati dai guerriglieri, non aerei che volano a bassa velocit .
Il sistema ha intercettato oltre l'80% dei bersagli a marzo, disse all'epoca il Pentagono.
Il drone di sabato scorso è stato segnalato per la prima volta sul Mediterraneo, vicino alla Striscia di Gaza, ha detto un portavoce militare, ed è stato poi abbattuto da un aereo
Un parlamentare israeliano ha detto che si trattava di un drone iraniano lanciato dal movimento libanese Hezbollah, ma Teheran non ha rivendicato il lancio.
