Miranda Lambert garners five CMA nominations


NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Reuters) – Texas country music singing sensation Miranda Lambert captured five Country Music Association nominations on Tuesday in three categories and will compete against her fiance Blake Shelton when the CMA hands out its annual awards on November 10.Lambert will join Dierks Bentley on Wednesday on ABC's "Good Morning America" in New York to announce the nominees in five more categories, including the top CMA prize of Entertainer of the Year -- won by Taylor Swift in 2009.The annual awards show -- billed as country music's biggest night -- will be broadcast by ABC, with repeat hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.Lambert, whose traditional lyrics are backed by a rock and roll-style band, will compete in the "Video of the year" and "Single of the year" categories with Shelton.
