Messina, 15 ott. (LaPresse) - Maxi operazione nel messinese contro una organizzazione che gestiva locali dove prostituivano ragazze dell'Est Europa. Quattordici persone sono finite in manette e tre locali sono stati sequestrati. L'operazione, condotta dalla squadra mobile e dal commissariato di Sant'Agata Militello, è arrivata al termine di indagini durate quasi un anno, che hanno permesso di svelare l'esistenza di tre distinte organizzazioni criminali che procedevano a reclutare le donne, prevalentemente dell'est Europa, ricorrendo spesso alla mediazione di veri e propri agenti o impresari, residenti in tutta la Sicilia e talvolta anche nel Nord Italia. Gli incontri si consumavano all'interno della sede del circolo stesso, in immobili messi a disposizione dai titolari dei locali o in strutture ricettive aperte al pubblico. Le ragazze vittime dello sfruttamento, registrate in modo fittizio nei locali come socie, venivano prelevate per essere accompagnate agli incontri e attentamente controllate affinché non intrattenessero alcun tipo di rapporto sociale esterno.
