Citt del Vaticano, 22 mar. (LaPresse) - La figura del Pontefice in qualit di "colui che costruisce ponti, con Dio e tra gli uomini" per tessere il "dialogo fra tutti gli uomini, così che ognuno possa trovare nell'altro non un nemico, non un concorrente, ma un fratello da accogliere ed abbracciare! Le mie stesse origini poi mi spingono a lavorare per edificare ponti". Con queste parole Papa Francesco ha accolto questa mattina le rappresentanze di ben 180 Stati accreditati presso la Santa Sede. Un numero che si potrebbe presto ampliare, visto l'invito rivolto al corpo diplomatico, affinché si colga "l'occasione per intraprendere un cammino con quei Paesi che ancora non intrattengono relazioni diplomatiche" e "tra coloro che non professano la fede cattolica".
Bergoglio si è concentrato ancora una volta sulla povert , spiegando alla platea la scelta del suo nome. "Uno dei primi" motivi "è l'amore che Francesco aveva per i poveri. Quanti poveri ci sono ancora nel mondo! E quanta sofferenza incontrano queste persone!". Così il Papa si è rivolto al corpo diplomatico in udienza. Sull'esempio del poverello di Assisi, "la Chiesa - afferma - ha sempre cercato di avere cura, di custodire, in ogni angolo della Terra, chi soffre per l'indigenza e penso che in molti dei vostri Paesi possiate constatare la generosa opera di quei cristiani che si adoperano per aiutare i malati, gli orfani, i senzatetto e tutti coloro che sono emarginati, e che così lavorano per edificare societ più umane e più giuste".
Il Papa ha anche richiamato la diplomazia in sala Regia: "Lavorate per edificare la pace!" "Ma non vi è - ha aggiunto il Pontefice - vera pace senza verit ! Non vi può essere pace vera se ciascuno è la misura di se stesso, se ciascuno può rivendicare sempre e solo il proprio diritto, senza curarsi allo stesso tempo del bene degli altri, di tutti, a partire dalla natura che accomuna ogni essere umano su questa terra". In un altro passaggio centrale del discorso sui mali che affliggono il mondo, che sono non solo la povert materiale ma anche quella spirituale, il Papa ha citato il suo predecessore, chiamandolo "il caro e venerato Benedetto XVI", da cui andr in visita domani mattina a Castel Gandolfo. Francesco ha parlato di "dittatura del relativismo" che "lascia ognuno come misura di se stesso e mette in pericolo la convivenza tra gli uomini".
