 A Journey Through Sicily at Pango Gourmet Brasserie Alessio Planeta, the chief wine maker, owner and manager of Planeta Wines will be hosting a memorable dinner in conjunction with Chef Angelo Pumilia.Wine Maker Alessio will showcase quality Planeta wines that have been in existence in Sicily since 1600's, but through his dedication by ensuring that wineries are established in each wine region, Planeta wines became internationally known in the mid 1980s.Chef Angelo is the executive chef at the 'La Foresteria' Planeta, having previously been the executive chef of a two star Michelin Restaurant 'Clandestine Sushi Bar.' Chef Angelo currently presents traditional Sicilian dishes to La Foresteria's guests using local ingredients matched with the best of Planeta wines. He holds cooking courses, teaching traditional Sicilian cuisine using Planeta's home pressed olive oils and secret recipes passed down 17 generations of the Planeta Family.
