LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Superstar Spaniard Alejandro Sanz and three other singer-songwriters from Mexico, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic led the field of contenders unveiled on Wednesday for the 11th annual Latin Grammys with four nominations each.Sanz, a 14-time Latin Grammy winner considered one of the most commercially successful Spanish singers of all time, was nominated in the top category of album of the year, as well as for best male pop vocal album, for "Paraiso Express."He also earned nominations in the key races for record of the year and song of the year for the single "Desde Cuando."In the contest for album of the year, Sanz faces competition from Dominican merengue star Juan Luis Guerra, a nine-time Latin Grammy winner, for "A Son De Guerra," and from Mexican singer-keyboardist Mario Domm for "Dejarte De Amar" as a member of the pop-rock trio Camila.Guerra's release also was nominated as best contemporary tropical album, and he earned nods for best tropical song and best short-form music video for his single "Bachata En Fukuoka."Domm also shared nominations with his trio Camila for best pop album by a duo or group with vocal for "Dejarte De Amar" and for record of the year for the ballad "Mientes.""Mientes" earned Domm his fourth bid in the race for best song, a category that recognizes the composers.
