Telesales - Don t Like It?


Telesales. Who likes doing it? Who has time to do it? Who prefers others to do it? Yes, it`s that old task in the work place which most people avoid. Telesales, cold calling, getting the sale, touting for business, making the sales calls or whatever else we choose to call it. We just don`t like doing it do we. Any firm employing telesales folk will know that there is quite a high turnover of staff for this very reason. People think it can`t be that bad being on the phone all day asking questions. Soon after, they realise that it is actually quite bad being on the phone all day asking questions. It`s not for them. They haven`t perhaps got the skill or the ability or the thick skin to bounce off any negativity or rejection they may receive during their calls. But yet those sales calls need to be made. Telesales Agency are necessary. Without contacting potential customers or clients the business cannot and will not grow. Ah but my business has already grown to the size that I want, you might say. Hey, a business that isn`t actively growing is stagnating. Yes your business may be doing well now but by the time it`s competitors have outgrown it and by the time the markets have changed, your business will be left behind because it has failed to listen to its market`s needs and failed to generate new business.
