Chuwi Hi10 boots with both Windows 10 and Android 5.1

The Chuwi Hi10 is an upgraded version of the company’s earlier Vi10 tablet, and with the slate you’ll also be getting a keyboard bundled in – no need to buy any a la carte peripherals if you need an external keyboard.  External features are basic, as the tablet comes with two full-size USB ports, and Android 5.1 Lollipop and Windows 10 out of the box.  This is an improvement over those dual-boot tablets we’ve heard of in the past, which came with Android 4.4 KitKat and Windows 8.1, as the two platforms the Hi10 ships with are the latest in their respective category.

Compared to its predecessor, the Vi10, the Chuwi Hi10 comes with a 64-bit, quad-core Intel Atom processor clocked at 1.44 GHz, with Turbo mode at 2.44 GHz.  That replaces the now-archaic AtomZ3736F “Bay Trail” processor found on the Chuwi Vi10. This new chip was manufactured based on 14-nanometer architecture, thus making it a more advanced, sophisticated processor to the aforementioned Bay Trail chip.

Other specifications include 2 GB RAM, a 64 GB solid-state drive, micro SD support up to 128 GB, and a 10.6-inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. These specs still pale to your average notebook, but given its dual-boot selling point and bundled-in keyboard, we believe buyers will have good reason to check out the Hi10.
