A very good collection of tightly executed Rock/Pop tunes. The ballads of the first side have a remarkably breezy feeling to them, while the second has some heavier fun. It fails to recapture the hypnotic atmosphere of the preceding record “Pampered Menial”, and the songs aren’t as consistently high-quality either. Nonetheless, the melodies are consistently strong and the second side gives the band more of a chance to flex their technical muscles. Not as good as the debut, but otherwise an excellent Pop record.
