Bayern Munich, the German professional soccer Bundesliga, which belongs to Korean men’s national soccer team defender Kim Min-jae, strengthened its offense by recruiting French side striker Michael Olise.
“We acquired Olise from Crystal Palace in the English Premier League. The contract lasts for five years until June 2029,” Munich said on its official channel on Tuesday.
The club did not officially disclose the transfer fee, but according to foreign media such as sports media “Vine Sports,” Munich paid a total of 50 million euros about 74.6 billion won to Palace, including options.
Although Olise was born in England, she was born to a Nigerian father and a French mother, so she was able to choose her nationality. She chose France and plans to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics, which will open later this month.
Olise, who has played youth for Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City, made his professional debut at Reading in the 2019 English Professional Football Championship Second Division.
