The exhibition SEGNO | COLORE | FORMA | MATERIA of the master ceramist Gianni Anderle at the evocative cellars of Mirana Tower (Torre Mirana) in Trento (Italy) was inaugurated yesterday, Saturday 07 April 2018 at 6.00 pm. The artist Gianni Anderle of Pergine was pleased to see his friends and colleagues gathered together, including the Rotal painter Gentile Polo, for the inauguration of the exhibition. Anderle's work has been described by Alessandro Fontanari Nerofonte, an artist and employed in the Civezzano library, who compares the work of the master ceramist to alchemy: Anderle manages to shape a simple clay loaf in three-dimensional plastic forms or paintings from the thin sheet, rich in texture and color, according to experiential techniques typical of a consummate master, even though he has only been turned to ceramics for a few years. It is precisely because of his mastery in shaping the ceramic material that his colleague Gentile Polo asked and obtained from his friend Anderle to visit him at his studio in Pergine to learn some techniques from the master and improve his artistic research. The two artists were enthusiastic to the point that even the ceramist asked to visit the Studio d'Arte Gentile Polo in Roverè della Luna. Among the numerous and evocative contemporary works on display, it is possible to admire composite panels of tiles painted in different shades of color, statues and three-dimensional spaces, thin jutting sheets and surprising and vibrant textures. Some of the works that are particularly liked by the artist Gentile Polo are:
- "La vena rossa" (2016, ceramic and enamel)
- "Il Tribuno" (2017)
- "Onde rosse" (2016)
- "Abisso 2" and "Abisso 3" (2017)
- "Le sentinelle" and "Equilibrismo" (2015)
- "The barrel makes its way on the Via Claudia Augusta" ("La botte fa strada sulla Via Claudia Augusta")
