Gentile Polo to the "Altered Book" exhibition of President Nabila Fluxus Virginia Milici.

Colorful and creative exhibition of Alterati Books inaugurated on Saturday 21st April by Virginia Milici in the rooms of the Biblioteca di Paese (TV) and which saw the participation of various artists including her friend Gentile Polo. Arrived around 10.00 thanks to the passage of the artist Gentile Polo, we walked on foot within the walls of the beautiful villa Panizza. Villa Panizza looks like the
the beating heart of the cultural and associational world of the municipality ... erected in 1810 and long owned by the city ... with the new municipal library and ... the English garden " (La Tribuna di Treviso, 05 Aprile 2017)
Built by the Malanotte family and expanded about 60 years later, the villa is named after Professor Panizza, heir to the Senator Bartolomeo Panizza, a doctor of Napoleon Bonaparte. The garden of flowerbeds, white paths and delicate statues of nymphs, is currently enriched by the mighty statues in burnished bronze and those in iron by the sculptor Carlo Balljana, while a delicate grove frames a playground for children and refreshes the alleyway that leads, on the left, to the Municipal Library in the main building of the villa, to the neighboring farmhouse, to the right, where there is a barrel vaulted cellar and the iron roof decorated as a trina and cast iron pillars of the Circolo Anziani, tinted in the warm tones of gold and orange, with large windows and a fountain with swan's head. Admired by the splendor of the villa, the artist Gentile Polo and I headed slowly in the rooms delicately decorated with pastel colored stuccoes of the Municipal Library for the inauguration of the exhibition Altered Book that was about to begin. After the cordial greetings with the President of the Nabila Fluxus Gallery Virginia Milici, we took the opportunity to admire the altered books of the participating artists before the arrival of the audience: color and creativity are the two words to sum up the exhibition. With the arrival in high heels of the culture councilor Federica Morao and the talented professor Giancarlo Da Lio, the inauguration of the exhibition Altered Book was launched, which could not fail to receive just appreciation, given the creativity of the artists in the recovery of old books otherwise destined for pulp, the ten-year commitment of President Virginia Milici and the renewed interest and support of the local culture's office. The splendid vernissage culminated with an aperitif at the Piccolo Bar Ristorante Gustorotondo with the Councilor for Culture Federica Morao, the President of the Nabila Fluxus Gallery Virginia Milici, the Art Critic Professor Giancarlo Da Lio and the decorator artist Gentile Polo of Roveré della Luna (TN - Italy). Following a lunch with an excellent mixed fry of fresh fish and vegetables, yellow and sweet polenta: coffee semifreddo with almond granules and tuft of mint for us ladies and a tart with custard and fresh fruit for the artist Gentile Polo. With the communication to the participant master Gentile Polo of the return of the "banner" (the collective artist's book of the record of 186 meters) in Badoere by the President Nabila Fluxus and the greetings of the ceremony was successfully completed the trip to the vernissage of the Altered Book of Virginia Milici. The exhibition will be open at the Municipal Library of Paese (TV) in Villa Panizza until May 14th.
