"Prayer for Peace" at the Trento Mountain Film Festival 2018 (Italy)

Next Thursday, May 3, 2018 the presentation at the Fondazione CARITRO of Trento(Italy) of the "Prayer for Peace" project, a flag for peace born from an idea by the Trentino artist Lorenzo LOME Menguzzato and the Trentino for Tibet Association and which involved hundreds of students and artists in an extraordinary collective work. The project was born a year ago and involves the composition of a Tibetan Buddhist prayer flag (in Tibetan: long, in Wylie Wylie: rlung-rta) universal symbol of peace, non-violence and respect for Nature, longer than world. The project blessed by the current Dalai Lama will be produced in charity fundraising presses that will aim to support the construction of a health clinic in the area of the Aruàcal Pradeś (in Chinese: Zangnan), located in north-eastern India, and for reasons of war and opium exploitation it has long been kept isolated and limited to tourism. Students and artists from all over the world have collaborated on the "Prayer for Peace" project. Among the female artists we find the current President FIDA - Trento (Italian Federation of Artists) Barbara Cappello, Cristina Zanella, Nadia Cultrera, Paola Toffolon, Cassia Raad, Maria Menguzzato, Renata di Palma, Graziella Gremes, Doris Cologna, Arianna Lonardi, Lucia Nardelli, Marina Desogus, Patrizia Nicolini and President Nabila Fluxus Virginia Milici. Among the male artists, in addition to the same LOME we find Claudio Cavalieri, Sergio D'Angelo, the artist Rotaliano Gentile Polo of the Art Studio Gentile Polo of Roverè della Luna (Tn), Diego Bridi, Gudrun De Chirico, Luigi Penasa, Luciano Olzer, Antonello Serra, Aldo Pancheri, Paul Sark, Paolo Ober, the poet Angelo Magro, the Catalan artist Toni Prat, Renato Sclaunich, Jacob de Chirico, Matteo Boato, and many others. A global collective work therefore that of "Prayer for Peace" for a total of 480 works in black and white, which were printed on cloth to form a single long Tibetan peace flag thanks to the collaboration of the Institute for Graphic Arts Artigianelli of Trento (ITaly). The work will be officially presented to the public next Thursday at the Trento Mountain Film Festival 2018, in the presence of representatives of the MART Museum and the C.A.I. (Italian Alpine Club) who supported the project for charitable purposes. The Tibetan lungta can be admired in all its beauty before the "Bosco dei Poeti" by Lorenzo LOME Menguzzato in the municipality of Dolcé (Vr) and later at the Venice Biennale; finally it will be deposited at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art MART in Trento and Rovereto waiting to be conducted by the alpinists of the CAI on the peaks of the Himalayas and donated to the Dalai Lama. The long-time guest will come back on the occasion of events dedicated to Peace and Tibet. The long Tibetan peace flag will be reproduced for the sale of charity in strips used by fifteen works each and will allow to support the realization of a health clinic to Tuting nell'Aruṇācal Pradeś (India). The Gentile Polo Art Studio therefore awaits you at the preview of the extraordinary collective work of "Prayer for Peace" on Thursday 3 May from 11.00 am, at the Conference Hall of the CARITRO Foundation in  Garibaldi street 33 (Tn - Italy).
