Wednesday, June 20, 2018 the pictorial exhibition of the architect Roberto Codroico was inaugurated in the elegant rooms of the Hotel Trento.
Raised among the ruins of the Second World Conflict in Kassel (Germany) and later in the prolific Veneto to work in Trentino, a land border sensitive to social and political concerns and cultural ferment of the avant-gardes, Roberto Codroico absorbs and reworks in a continuous evolution up to the very essence of the image.
Important are the architecture studies in Venice, the years of teaching as Professor of Artistic Education at the Magistral School and, since 1977, the activity of responsible for the protection of cultural heritage and landscape protection for the Autonomous Province of Trento (Italy).
Since 1963 Roberto Codroico has been pursuing a personal artistic research on the essentiality of the broken or continuous line that summarizes images and emotions experienced in an apparent two-dimensionality, entrusting the color and its perception of restoring the emotional perception of depth to the eye.
Moments, emotions and impressed memories emotionally and perceptually resume the three-dimensionality drawing on the memory of the user of the work, inducing the public to “think other” and “go beyond”.
And speaking of color and the search for the essential, the friend and colleague of Arte Gentile Polo could not miss at its inauguration, who was able to exchange observations, memories of the “old” FIDA Trento Association and the compliments for the work done.
A multifaceted artist, the architect Roberto Codroico exhibits canvases, clothes whose consort the burden and the honor to represent them, ties like the one worn by the same artist, but do not forget suggestive photographs with masks and costumes inspired by his painting with an archaeological historical background, boxes created or regenerated where inside and outside merge and merge according to Roberto’s imaginative power:

Given the exhibition spaces, sophisticated but in public use being a hotel, for the occasion it was possible to exhibit only the paintings by our expert outfitter Nicola “Nico” Cicchelli, but in the future there will be other opportunities to admire the master’s high works.
The inauguration began with a brief presentation of the art critic Nicoletta Tamanini and the Presidents of the Carolina Marangoni Association for Mafalda Donne Trento and Patrizia Bettonte for Inner Wheel Club Trento Castello Carf, who collaborated with the artist Roberto Codroico of the exhibition and the sale of some works of the master for charity.
The works, whose proceeds will go entirely to charity, can be purchased at the banquet of the catalogs, which can be used free of charge, at the entrance to the elegant dining room inside the Hotel Trento (Tn – Italy).
The presentation was followed by the architect’s willingness to respond to questions from the public, including “what activity, among those responsible for the restoration and maintenance of the historical and artistic heritage of Trentino and painter, had given him more emotions and inspirations” honestly answered that in Art as in life everything interpenetrates and influences enriching both the person and the artist.
And after the heartfelt thanks to all the organizers, to his wife who has “heroically” endured his mood swings and the body builder, there was an anecdote about the transport of one of the largest canvases, which saw Nico himself. and the artist Roberto Codroico cross the city center on foot with the enormous work amid the amazement of passers-by and the amused interest of a lady who hoped to take the artifact home.
Following, between works and warm and soft atmospheres, the refreshment that has relaxed guests and friends, including the artists Antonello Serra, Aldo Pancheri, Mauro Larcher and Gentile Polo as well as the assistant of the Studio d’Arte Gentile Polo (that I would be ), in an open and convivial atmosphere!
